So y'all think Ofilli will win a medal?

Y'all must be delusional

it will be a miracle if she makes the top 5

Only the wrestling lady and Tobi Amusan will win a medal

And then it's rinse and repeat in LA 2028

What a cursed country

It's wild. So many of our athletes fell short of reaching in the finals or medalling in Track and Field. If the government did the bare minimum in terms of planning and providing resources, our medal yield would be so much higher. These things premised on careful planning and investment. It's not run and inshallah.

Ofili can win gold if she doesn’t slow down like she did in the semis
Run 21 seconds and win it

Can Favour win? Yes but some miracle. But going by the numbers she can't. Gabby or Julien is most likely to. Favour is yet to run a sub 21 this year and Gabby has done it several times. My hope is that she medals no matter the colour

If I'm Osimhen, I'm not moving to Chelsea with this Samu signing.

Victor Osimhen still waiting for PSG (there is an agreement in principle for a contract until 2029). He is ready to leave Napoli and turned down AlHilal and AlAhli approaches, because he wants to stay in Europe. Arsenal monitoring situation, but he isn’t AFC’s main target

You guys are so funny! The reason we keep lagging behind is cause you all think govt has to do everything for you all.

Most of our Athletes are based in the United States. So why do you all like crying

How many Athletic medal has your UK won? You always come out from your rat hole to spread bad news!

ADL can't force him to go to Saudi
If Osimhen refuses to go there is absolutely nothing ADL can do

Private sectors rule Athletics! The private sector has done a lot for our Athletics in recent times.
Many of our boys and girls are scattered all over the US universities competing.

Our Athletes are so young and already qualifying for Olympics final/semis.

We should appreciate them rather than ranting all the time.

What did St Lucia contribute to Alfred success? Make una rest, abeg!

Unless a club meets the release clause in Europe which won't happen this summer! The other option is taking a pay cut to stay!

I still have a feeling Psg will sign him before the end of the window if they don't get desire doue

PSG submitted 85m but ADL refused cos the Saudis already met the release clause. ADL wants at least 100m, which PSG is unwilling to pay.

With Kolo and Ramos staying, I do not think PSG will bid again.

I think Arsenal could be his destination! I am sure Arsenal cannot start this season without buying a striker!

I doubt any top European club is willing to cough out the amount ADL wants for Osimhen knowing fully the well that the player just hv 1 year remaining in his contract

With the look of things Osimhen has only 2 options which is to remain in Naples and walk away after the expiration of his contract or move to Saudi

boss I doubt if arsenal will pay what ADL is demanding unless the greedy man will decide to something less than 70m euros just to allow Osimhen leave

It is simply delusional to think just 1 year support brought this success. lol! They came in when she was already breaking records upon records at NCAA. Normal norm for developing countries. How many of their Athletes got the same support?

When did she leave St Lucia? From where did she join Texas Tech, and what year? lol!

Real Madrid has the best scouting team in Europe.

They forced United to overpay for the average Leny Yoro only to bid 50m for Tottenham's indefatigable Romero! How did United miss him? Pathetic scouting!

I wanted to comment on this earlier today but decided against it. It's obvious many do not even understand the problems they want to solve. Let's get this out of the way, our administrators are bad, ineffectiveness and everything in-between and maybe we can attain a little more success if they fix up, but that isn't the problem.

The truth is Nigeria is not rich enough to fund sports or prepare athletes for the Olympics. . It takes an average of $100k yearly to prepare a gymnast for the Olympics and for other sports ranges from 20-50k$ yearly for each athletes. This is the cost implicationin societies with already established facilities. We just can't measure up. Also, most of the funding for these countries come from sponsors and private organisations. They shoulder the responsibility of financing sports.

The truth is Nigeria has a better chance at medalling at the the Olympics if Government gets out of Sports administration completely. That way civil servants will know there's no free money to feast on and it opens up sports associations for more equipped people who can sell the business to take charge.

On the alternate, we can spend more identifying future talents void of sentiments and nepotism, then find a way to get them highschool/college scholarships in the US so US can train them for us. That's what we've been doing the last few years anyways.
