Multiple reports have it that Victor Osimhen may have to remain at Napoli because: - He and his agent reportedly don't want a loan deal of any type. - He and his agent reportedly won't accept any wage cut. #copied |

Only you said most of our athletes are based in the US, and at the same time you are making this submission. I think your problem is that you think I’m blaming this current government. What has Nigeria achieved in the history of Olympics?, you tell me why we never win a good number of medals. Let me hear ur wise take then. Waiting Marjoribanks: |

Chelsea would have signed Osimhen if it weren't for AFCON! Having both Osimhen and Jackson doesn't make sense with a disorganized federation like CAF. However, I still think Chelsea will sign him, especially with Conte wanting Lukaku. That Omidiran link is just a to force Napoli's hand! charlesemeka85: 1 Like |

Joebie: No one is absolving government of responsibility, if you read my post carefully I said as much. The crux of mt my argument is even with good administrators and policy backup there's little we can achieve because Nigeria sadly isn't rich enough to fund sports. It is why my advocacy is for government to completely handsoff sports in Nigeria. So my argument isn't for more government policies but just one policy, which is government divesting from sports. Also, the private sector in Nigeria is well equipped to fund sporting events in Nigeria. The only reason they won't right now is because there's little or no return on investments when they partner with any sporting brand. Government divesting totally from telecommunications and entertainment is what led to the boost we've seen in both industries. BB naija which is just a program here more sponsorship yearly than Nigeria's biggest sporting brand the Super Eagles and all their money comes from the private sector. |
