Monthly allocation from Abuja is supposed to complement what the States generate.
If the State Governors are this useless without Abuja, I think it's better we stop wasting money on Gubernatorial elections and allow the President appoint administrators. That way, all these vitriols we serve the President and the FG will be justified.

Now you are talking reality! If all the governors are saying the same thing then the President should listen. Put all the money for palliatives together to reduce the price of fuel, and the economy will normalize.

For heavens sake, Tinubu's blantant support to the fuel subsidy removal by his predecessor after he himself compalined bitterly during elections about his predecessor's faceless cashless policy is a bit disturbing.

You can remove the fuel subsidy by 50% fix the refineries or support Dangote's refinery till the fuel subsidy is removed 100%.

That's because they use the allocation to pay idle loyalists and loot the remaining via unviable projects. What are your state workers producing?

MooMoo, rephrase to public workers.. The food on your table comes from?
Secondly, Plateau State govt workers may not produce nothing yes, but rethink what do ministries of agriculture, revenue boards do in relation to their sectors,. Could we say if a State contributes positively with a great magnitude in feeding the nation, it's agriculture ministry with staff there in are sleeping... Grow up.. Ur eating too much without appreciating how it comes.

Look my Signature been feeding Nigeria since 13th Century

"If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones" .. how have they managed the little they have e.g. a state like Oyo state should not suffer scarcity of cassava and expensive garri with it aerable land and lots of agricultural research institute angry . Nigerian governors are cancers to democracy and their cluelessness is what brings us to the shameful state of food scarcity. The allocation of most states is higher then Togo IGR and Togo can boast of food security and stable electricity in its major urban areas. The LG autonomy is the best thing PBAT has done so far if properly managed by the EFCC and FG

Economic & social Illiterates please be silent, states that were collecting 2 billion Naira 2 years ago, are collecting 6 billion Naira today, yet these incoherent clowns say money no reach, and their confused damned citizens say na President fault.

How much money were you & your state government able to raise on your own, to complement the free money from Abuja?

You are the chief illiterate because what the 2 billionaire will do than the 6 billionaire won't do it now.
Before APC came to power, 3,600 will buy you more than 11 rubber of gari. Now it will give you just one. That means 250 naira than has more value to 3,600 now.
So be educated.

Tinubu is navigating a tough economic landscape, no doubt. The challenges of inflation are real, but I believe he’s committed to finding solutions. Let’s give him some time to implement the policies that will truly benefit the masses. Progress takes patience.

[quote author=RenaissanceGuy post=131381408]The way the FG keeps on harping on increase in revenue generation and FARC sharing shows that they are economic illiterates. The increase is due to our poor exchange rate which also consequentially reduces the value. The value of ₦2bn of 1 years ago is now around ₦750m. Is this so h

Wetin bite you? 2bn 2 years ago is equal to 200m now.

This is bane of the economy at this point

It's not about the amount of money but the value of it

Most of the commodities we use are mainly dollarized and with the current rate you are almost left with nothing

Only people enjoying this now are those who earn in dollars and other foreign currencies

One would have thought as a master strategist that the president was touted to be, he would have first see to increasing the people's purchasing power and creating a very enabling environment for businesses to thrive while working on controlling basic commodities prices, the shock would have been lesser

But instead he started giving out rice as palliatives to his cronies and dashing out monies as intervention.

Tinubu just destroyed our economy for nothing. Increased allocation by two folds and the purchasing power reduced by three to four folds grin grin grin. On top of it, everyone is now shouting of hardship. Was it not wise to tweeked few things about the economic policies instead of the totally turning every policy upside down?
