TopBanter: 3-bedroom flat in one building in Eko Atlantic sells for nearly #800 million. People would rather use that money to buy a much bigger house in a highbrow estate in Lekki. And that money can still buy you 3 semi-detached 4-bedroom duplexes around VGC and Eleganza axes. |

Letâs give kudos to who itâs due. The fact that theyâve been able to maintain the tempo of development is what stands them out. No other State in Nigeria maintain the continuation of Governance being maintained in Lagos. I laugh when I see goats (esp those from the South East) try to water down and down play these efforts like itâs the colonial masters that have been governing and maintaining the State abi na colonial masters still build this Eko Atlantic City? 3 Likes 2 Shares |

LagosPrince:Sadly and unfortunately for you, the Yorubas donât discriminate among themselves. Thereâs nothing like Osun, Ogun or Lagos Yorubas. Yorubas are Yorubas and are ever welcome to join in active politics. Thatâs why you can easily see a Yoruba man from Ogun state holding a political office in Ondo and Lagos without anyone raising an issue. Same canât be replicated in your enclaves of cavemen. An Anambra man sees an Imo person as inferior Igbo. Let me not talk about someone from Abakaliki 7 Likes 2 Shares |

Shockingly it's cheaper to buy properties in Dubai...than some parts of Lagos. One can make the argument that the expensive parts of Dubai is still more expensive than Eko Atlantic but Eko Atlantic is no where near what the expensive parts of Dubai look like, so why is it overpriced?,Also, in Dubai, you will find properties with monthly payments spread over 5yrs not tied to a bank...yes in Lagos you will hear...pay in full after 12 months. In US, you can pay your house for 30yrs. We make everything so difficult in Nigeria and wonder why we ain't progressing. My submission is...the Elites make it so, so the benefits won't be available to middle and even the relatively upper class Nigerians. They want it all...Elites amongst eachother...and that is not how you grow or develop a nation, but that's one thing they really don't care about. Let's see where PBAT credit scheme takes us. Builders can spread payments like they do in Dubai without banks or collateral...you take possession after paying in full. Case closed SmartPolician: 1 Like |

naptu2:This is truly impressive. It'll take Lagos State one notch higher as an international business hub. The gas would feed the greenfield industries and other users within those areas of Greater Lagos. |
Re: Gas Pipeline Debuts In Eko Atlantic City by Konquest: 7:59am On Aug 08 |
Abagworo:I have to step this very moment because what you posted is CLEARLY FALSE! A lot of you Ibos keep recycling these same FALSEHOODS online and offline that the natural gas Lagos State uses is from Imo or elsewhere in the South East Iboland, but this is INCORRECT. I have to address this topic today so that the disinformation from the propaganda and secessionist Websites young and impressionable Ibos get these deliberately FABRICATED stories from will stop! I've been a member of Nairaland since 2005 and I know you well from back in the day to be a rational guy but in the last 2 years, I noticed a penchant for you to make flippant allegations laced with some form of hate or sarcasm. I must state here and now that indeed Imo State (which is where you are from being that you are an Aguta indigene) has large UNTAPPED gas reserves and It's impressive that Imo State gas would feed industries and CNG cars down the road, but this disinformation that natural gas is piped from Imo or other areas in Iboland to sustain Lagos is highly irresponsible and disrespectful to the people of Itsekiriland (who are ancestrally blood relatives of the larger Yoruba people who are indigenous to Nigeria, Benin Republic, and Togo). Just to emphasize again, the Itsekiris are a Yoruboid group that is largely made up of Ijebu, Ilaje, and Ife (Ufe) ancestries with some Bini-Edo exiled immigration in 1480 through Prince Ginuwa [who was eldest son of Oba Olua, the 14th Oba of Benin (1473â1480 CE) and Heir Apparent to the throne of the Benin Kingdom] and 70 of his lieutenants who were sons of 70 noble men and settled in an Ijebu community called Ode Itsekiri, Omadina is another Itsekiri community led by Chief Lenuwa whose folks spread out originally from Ijebu Waterside area now in Ogun State several centuries ago. The Ijaws of Delta State too have oil and gas reserves and are not making these kinds of spurious and fabricated claims on Nairaland or on other social media platforms! The Itsekiris- By Village Of Origin https://www.itsekirinawb.org/single-post/2017/12/04/the-itsekiris-by-village-of-origin https://independent.ng/itsekiri-shares-same-lineage-culture-with-ijebu-in-yorubaland-high-chief-adeyemi/ Read the FACTS Below About the Escravos to Lagos Pipeline System from the Website. The Escravos (Ugborodo is the real Itsekiri name of that area NOT Escravos) to Lagos Pipeline System supplies natural gas from the oil and gas-rich Itsekiriland in Delta State to Lagos State. There is ALSO another gas pipeline that supplies gas to other countries in West Africa that flows from the same Delta State axis. Background The 36-inch Escravos to Lagos Pipeline System (ELPS) is a natural gas pipeline built in 1989 to supply gas from Escravos in the Niger Delta to various consumption utilization areas. Although the line starts at NGC's gas treatment plant in Warri, piped gas originates from Chevron's Escravos gas plant in Delta State It supplies gas to power plants in the South-west and also feeds the West African Gas Pipeline System, which is a component of the larger Nigeria-Morocco Gas Pipeline.[4] EscravosâLagos II Expansion In April 2019, NNPC's Group Managing Director announced plans to build an expansion, EscravosâLagos Pipeline System II, which would double the existing pipeline's capacity to 2.2 billion cubic feet per day. Construction was expected to begin in the second quarter of 2020.[8][6][9] In February 2021, the NNPC announced that the expansion project, described as a "looping of the ExcravosâLagos Pipeline System", was complete.[7][5] https://punchng.com/escravos-lagos-pipeline-set-to-move-2-2-billion-scf-of-gas-nnpc/ https://www.wagpco.com/operations/ Cc: @Naptu2 1 Like 1 Share |

tnerro1: Gas explosions are dramatic but less frequent than electrical or combustible fires. If you can use a gas cylinder safely, you can use piped gas. There have been gas pipes on ikorodu road and in ilupeju for ages without incident. It's all down to the expertise of the gas provider and the literacy of the citizen. If a person decides to dig on a clearly marked gas line then of course they heighten the risk. Progress has risks. |
