The 16th Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II, on Wednesday, lamented the destruction and looting of properties during the hunger protest in the state.

Sanusi spoke when he inspected the Kano Printing Press, NCC Digital Industrial Park and Barakat Stores which were among public and private properties attacked during the incident.

He accused the security of allowing the destruction to happen despite the notice sent beforehand.

He said his grandfather worked with the Kano printing press adding that “it is sad that a place like this is destroyed by their grandchildren”.

According to him, “As we used to say, whoever had a hand in this is an enemy of Kano and he is an enemy to its people.

My grandfather had worked here (Kano printing press). It is sad that a place like this is destroyed by their grandchildren.

“Before this happened, the security operatives were notified in writing that it is going to happen but instead of preventing it, it was allowed to happen”, he noted.

“We pray that God comes to the aid of these youth and whoever is behind it God will deal with them. We pray that we may not witness anything like this in the future”.

The Kano printing press was established in 1938 and has been serving the state since then.

Tinubu is ready to spend 70% of his entire earnings on propaganda rather than fix issues.

He has unleashed heartless morons across social and real media to support barefaced evil and lies.

Tinubu is paying the highest subsidy on petrol in our nations history. Yet he has the guts to lie to 200 million Nigerians that the currently suffering is based on his subsidy removal.

How evil can a human be? Tinubu can’t be human.

Mr sanusi, you're not supposed to heap all the blames only on the security operatives.

What about your governor that refused to nib the looming crisis in the bud? Is he not the chief security of Kano state?

I understand you don't want to offend him now, because he recently helped you to ascend your throne. Issokay

I have said it upteenth time that it's our turn, yorubas turn and there's nothing any Hausa, Fulani or ibo can do about it.....if you want to protest, please do it at the comfort of your parlour because if you go beyond that, you will be decisively dealt with, there's no room to misbehave under Yoruba rule...... it's either you remain under us for this Asiwaju's 8 years or you leave the country.
After yorubas 8 years, the north can take over and do as they like, but for now, you must respect and worship we yorubas anywhere you see us, whether you are hungry or not is immaterial.....thanks 👍

After weaponizing poverty to use as a political advantage, you guys are now complaining that the numerous poor are destroying your lives...!

This country is just starting to reap the harvest of evil seeds sown decades back.

You guys kept these youths uneducated by failing to build schools...!

Las Las, education is not a scam!

Educated youths who are well engaged will never go about destroying valuable properties even if they are protesting.

I love the wave of new northern movement in expressing their displeasure with the heightened sufferings in Nigeria.

They should not go back home. Please, stay on the streets. If they go back home, the suffering will double.

The economy is currently bad bad. The government has done nothing. All they have done is threaten and kill Nigerians.
