Weretuntun:Nigeria is a tripod state Two other majority group feels 8 years of presidency is to risky to give to an igbo man Yet they fear that letting the igbo man go would lead to breaking up of nigeria because South South n middle belt would never stay in a Nigeria without igbos Yorubas are terrified of self rule, the last two attempt one before the white man came and two after independent both ended with them killing themselves in large number North feels it can't survive without Nigeria Minority feels that the idea of Nigeria give them sense of being part of something big Igbo man feels he can do better either leading Nigeria or on his own, feels Nigeria is holding it back unnecessarily There you have it 8 Likes 2 Shares |

Weretuntun:What about the Itsekiri, urhobo, berom, gbagyi, Hausa, Kanuri, isoko, efik, Edo, tiv e.t.c Abeg, presidency is not given on a platter of gold. You have to be intelligent, smart, and build bridges to get it. 4 Likes 1 Share |

mrvitalis: Twice Nnamdi Azikiwe ensured Nigeria remained indivisible. He fought Awolowo against a secession clause to be added to the constitution. He betrayed the South and aligned with the North when Amhadu Bello threatened to pull the north out of the newly formed Nigeria if power does not come to the North. Bonus: He supported Nigeria over Ojukwu's Biafra. Memoirs of Biafria. The ibos forcefully annexed south south with their Biafria mirage, murdered and raped SS people. They will never forget. If Ibo administration of Goverment was so good, the SE states would be Dubai, instead of the current dump they have. So bad that they are fleeing to the SW (their London) in large numbers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAJCkEOLGGI?si=CQNkSd1nY4QRG6eZ 5 Likes 1 Share |

mrvitalis: Really? People keep saying this nonsense. But if this were truly the case, then why is it that, other than that one single isolated cry for secession almost 60 years ago due to igbos being massacred in the north, there has never since then been any attempt whatsoever by them to even ask for, much less demand, seperation from Nigeria? |

mrvitalis:It's not like the middle belt or SS likes lgb0s or would agree to stay with them. lgb0s were mostly a collection of hamlets and villages before the were carved into Nigeria, never did well before Nigeria, somehow, Nigeria is holding them back now? |

There are over 250 ethnic groups in Nigeria, not 3. Presidency is not given one platter of gold. You have to win elections. |

Weretuntun:Who is feeding you the wrong information of Igbo being the 3rd largest ethnic group in the cesspit called nigeria? Stop reading the lagos ibadan expressway gutter media propaganda. Igbos are the largest in population in the the cesspit called nigeria. It's a fact, and not fiction or propaganda of the cesspit inhabitants. |

If u want freedom, fight for it not when ur Ieaders are busy Iooting Iike others, u folks are busy hiding in different zones and telling others to let u go without doing anything other than making ñoisè onIine. |

budaatum: Because all these years you have let NK brainwash most of you. 2023 was the first time igbos actually voted enmasse for an igboman running for president If you had stared this igbo presidency project earlier and didn't fall for NK lies, 2023 igbos president would have materialized but y'all spent 8 years fighting Buhari who genuinely would have favoured an igboman over pbat.,.. the rest as they say is history, hope lessons have been learnt 11 Likes |

Weretuntun:It's a democracy of one man one vote. The presidency is never dashed to any ethnic group, or are you trying to say that a Nigerian who hails from an ethnic group of less than 100k people doesn't deserve to be president as well? |

Re: Why Igbo Failed To This?.. by Ngozi123(f): 12:38pm On Aug 10 |
Slytiger: Nnamdi Azikiwe was a pan-Africanist. He believed that all African nations should be one so it's not surprising that he didn't want Nigeria to divide. He never supported Biafra so I don't know why you're trying to make it out like he represented all Igbo people at the time. Moreover, many people (mostly pan-Africanists) believed in One Nigeria at the time. They really thought it would become Africa's great hope. I don't blame them for thinking that as at the time, it really could have been. 1 Like |
Re: Why Igbo Failed To This?.. by budaatum: 12:46pm On Aug 10 |
Difrent:Buhari was not the one to choose who represented his party. And an Igbo person campaigning to continue Buhari's legacy would have been a joke. No decent Igbo person would have accepted the post I don't think, and Nigerians wouldn't have elected that person. Igbos voting enmasse for an Igboman running for president is not enough to elect an Igbo person as president of Nigeria. They'd need to appeal across the country to get elected. Sorry, but I don't think any lessons have been learnt yet, but there's always 2027, and 2031, and 2035, and 2055 even.
