So spending close to 60million on a new goalkeeper was worth it? Did Onana make any difference to our defense last season. De gea is gone. No need arguing over that issue again..
Lmao you even added an extra 10m for agenda.

When won't we spend on a new goalkeeper? Should've stuck to Degea till eternity then.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by ChristoBam: 6:19am

We massively overpaid for a player with one year left on his contract. We are paying 52million fixed and only 6million in add ons. Where are you getting your information from?

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c7209jxjn45o
Like I said, based on different factors, you decide to pay high for a player and walk away from others. That's how it works.

And that one year one contract sh*t means nothing cuz we couldn't have gotten him for free next year.

Onana was bought for 55m euros. Maybe in your book thats closer to 20m and not 60m. Its not about using De gea till eternity but being pennywise and pound foolish especially when the gk position was not a priority. De gea was even coming from a season were he was the best goalkeeper in the league and ready to take a massive paycut to extend his contract.

This is just a cheap excuse that can be used to justify any signing. We were desperate and knew the only way to get him was to overpay which we did.

If you apply that method in every transfer, we'll end up missing out on many top players. We've not yielded on our valuation of Ugarte and De Ligt. But we paid a large sum for Yoro.

So many factors are considered before deciding who we'll splash the cash on and who we're ready to lose out on.

The double standards is the issue here...

The previous administration was castigated for these same things that are currently being complained about...

If na last season, Mourtough's head would currently be on a spike for "approving" that Yoro transfer

The irony is that we keep using Madrid as the standard of how we should be, yet that same Madrid walked away from the Yoro deal for obvious reasons - that price is ridiculous and outrageous for an unknown 18yr old with just one year left on his contract

Our performance in the transfer window has been giving some dejavu vibes so far - I never see any difference between the current proceedings and what panned out in the immediate past TWs and we all know who the common denominator is cheesy

When season starts properly, further assessment would be done though..

lol. Naso dem dey do. The so called structure is there now, but we are still doing things the ‘Woodward’ way. I really hope it won’t be a recurring issue. Maybe they are still trying to find their foot.

I just tire

Now that we are mulling over Ugarte and De ligt, they say we are trying not to overpay but if na previous administration, it would be seen as unnecessary time-wasting by the board

We all know what we are doing grin

Maintaining or renovating facilities is not as a result of the so called structure. The owners already had a plan to do it anyway, renovation was always going to happen. Structure is about making the right transfers, and giving the fans beautiful football and results on the pitch. Abi na structure dey renovate stadium?

Again, I want to believe they are acclimating to the new environment, and we’ll see the results shortly.

Brotherly, i didn't mention any structure na. I just posted 2 pics. It was not about structure.

I am actually not going to involve myself in any argument about structure or no structure again. Anybody who thinks having a good structure is not important (or is a bad thing) in the success of an organization can keep on keeping on.

He'll be alternating with Yoro. There's a lot of games to be played.

United should please address that our midfield. Very important

E tire me. I don’t know why we keep making the same mistakes. From paying huge amounts for youngsters to paying a lot for someone always on the injury list. Dem still come ‘intentionally’ injure a new signing because of a preseason game. It’s ridiculous.

So we signed him to be on the bench for Yoro. Are you ETH?

Shaw and Martial are con artists.
I heard Malacia has brain injury, because what type of injury is making the young man miss a whole season and the start of the next?
Yoro is unlucky, just like Mainoo last preseason. Hopefully he's back for the long haul but someone has to replace him till then.

Having Yoro and Deligt is to our advantage. Yoro is fairly young and currently injured, Deligt will see a lot of game time. Infact he'll easily be first choice partner to Martinez.

So some people are questioning the signings of Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt. Maybe they prefer Maguire and Lindelof over them. Lol

Brah, paying 60m for an 18 year old is crazy! But it’s fine, I have issues mainly with the De light signing. Anyway, he comes slightly cheaper (due to his injury records) and I believe they will find a way to make him stay fit.

Yoro was a unique market opportunity. Maybe we should have allowed Madrid to sign him and resign him 10 years later as a veteran.

Fabrizio Romano no do tap in as per the De Ligt and Mazraoui deal. Man is changing.

Exactly what we did with Varane.

Won’t be surprised to find out we missed out on him cos the Glazers were penny pinching. Just like they did with Aguero.
