Hmmmmm,

One golden thing i learnt this year is data, I met a local farmer that showed me a collection of 1page calenders for all the locations his farms are, he just ticks the day it rains in dat area and this has been the tool he uses to time his planting.....

What his calender revealed to me is Golden, from dat day onward, i have started marking mine

Knowledge, as in, the good use of information, is gold.

It’s really crazy!! I disposed off all the F1 tomato seedlings in my nursery just yesterday cause they are long over due for transplanting
But no rain at all
A water tanker is about 15k in my area but that’s not the problem,
I don’t have that strength to be wetting abeg
Nothing beats rain water, it’s really perfect for crops

Overpopulation and drought is a recipe for monumental disaster. Add an incompetent, greedy and hopeless political class to the equation and Nigerians are going to suffer in the years to come.

We are largely deficient on data collection and analysis especially for agriculture and we need these things to properly optimize our operations especially on climatic conditions, cost to serve and commodity prices.

God did not withhold the waters, they only changed form. Two days ago, flood destroyed Kano Maiduguri Maiduguri highway. This is failure to mechanize farming and irrigate.

I thought FG distributed fertilizer alongside rice to different states. We all know some of the rice were hoarded, people dey chop fertilizers too? That's what the farmers need in situations like this.

Biblical Causes of Drought

The Bible often presents drought as a divine judgment for the disobedience of God's people. It's a powerful symbol of spiritual dryness and a consequence of turning away from God.

Here are some key biblical causes of drought:

* Disobedience to God: This is the most common reason. When the Israelites, or individuals, disobeyed God's laws or turned to idols, drought was often sent as a form of discipline.

* Spiritual Apostasy: A lack of faith or a decline in spiritual devotion could lead to a spiritual drought, which could manifest physically as a lack of rain.

* Social Injustice: The Bible often condemns oppression and mistreatment of the poor. Drought could be a consequence of neglecting the needs of the vulnerable.

It's important to note that while the Bible attributes drought to divine intervention, it doesn't negate the possibility of natural causes like changes in weather patterns. However, the primary focus in biblical narratives is on the spiritual and moral implications of drought.

Its like the Gods have decided to add to the hunger.

Is it because we are a sinful nation I wonder.
God did not do anything. Lots of chemicals are pumped into the atmosphere by constructio firms to prevent rainfall. That is the problem.

I feel for other farmers, but I'm less worried here. The weather is good for the crops I grow.

Gods do not exist, so they can't do anything. And its time Nigerians realise that and stop waiting for imaginary gods to do anything for them.

Please we are not saying the same thing. For me and my family, there is God who is all powerful but I only meant that the cinerio in question was effect of chemicals and not because God has abandoned Nigeria. I believe in God.

I don't need to be saying the same thing you said since we don't share one single brain or mind.

Your God may be powerful, but your God does not seem to be at all concerned about Nigeria.

Oga calm down,
.
As farmers, we know about August break. But this particular one don pass August break.
.
The last time it rained in Ogun state was June 25th. Confirm if you have anyone residing in Ogun.
.
So I ask, is this August break too. No rain in July as a whole, I mean fucking July. This is August 10. No rain still.
