That is like half of what Buhari was borrowing every three MONTHS from China.

Why is Tinubu not getting praised for some of great strokes his administration has embarked on?

Is the PR that bad that one would need to follow an external news medium to be aware of few of these things?

It's like the oppositions are the ones controlling the media outlets in Nigeria

Let’s be truthful, Nigeria is finished, beyond what any physical or spiritual entity can repair.

If I try to agree that hope is never lost, I am still certain not in next 150 years.

In my life time, less than a decade ago, Nigeria use to make (from that small Niger Delta) $140m DAILY

One of my lecturer said to get debt cancellation from IMF and World bank, you must agree to come back and borrow

Obasanjo told us Nigeria Dept was cancelled and the rest paid but he didn't tell us that he had gone back to take another loan

Let's give Tinubu a chance

You can't be paying debt and still be subsidizing fuel and dollar

It doesn't make sense

Saturday PUNCH gathered that part of the foreign debt was the $4.95bn in loans obtained by the current administration in its first 12 months, just as the Central Bank of Nigeria said a total of $15.55bn had been spent on debt servicing between 2019 and 2024.

Some of the loans obtained during this period are the Lagos Metropolitan Development and Governance ($200m)

OBJ cleared our debts only to take another round of debts with the help of Okonjo Iweala as the errand girl. They kept it a secret from Nigerians yet same man saying some leaders ought to be behind bar, whereas in a saner clime, he'd be spending the remainder of his life in jail. Jagaban has come to carry a heavy burden and only the brave could throw himself into a deep ocean to rescue a sinking nation. Only the wise would understand, not the gullible and emotional nitwits. So far, Jagaban has been able to reduce our revenue-debt ration from 98% to 67%. There're only better days ahead.

Buhari was borrowing because he did not want to offend Nigerians by removing fuel Subsidy

Buhari was borrowing to pay fuel Subsidy

Nothing to Kiss here. It's full of lies. Do you know how much apc alone borrowed in 8 years? Why did you dodge that fact? Obasanjo met 28bn usd loan obtained by the previous administration and paid a whopping 10bm out of it when crude was sold for less than 50usd. That's great achievement for Nigeria. If not for his monetisation policy, Nigeria would have collapsed by now. Crude is selling well now yet, nothing to show, but extravagant lifestyle of Tinubu buying yacht and presidential jets here and there. Every government borrows but what you do with it and the result matter. The electricity you and I are enjoying today, which your mentors said obj wasted Nigeria money on, wouldn't have been there. How many power plants did the apc build, compared to that of obj? This is the truth you need to kiss.

For your information, the loan taken by Buhari alone can't be liquidated in 2 decades. This is the truth you should kiss and not that fake and bias post you put up.

When buhari took office, he was busy blaming Jonathan, the man who left a robust economy for them which they ended up squanderig, for the Nigeria's economic woes. Now, Tinubu is blaming buhari, an apc past president. Isn't this wonderful? What a confused set of people and their supporters grin. As if he wasn't the one who went and picked him from his house to rule Nigeria, as if he didn't tell buhari to print more currency which had further reduced the value of the naira. I didn't call Tinubu's supporters illiterate without veritable reasons. Your post is one of the reasons.

Tinubu was governor when the loan for Lagos Metropolitan Development and Governance mentioned in the news piece was taken. It wasn't as if the then FG ate it. Obj touched every region in development unlike that we see today.

Two time Governor and president my ass...two time minister.. coordinating Minister, foreign affairs and head of world class organization bigger than Nigeria is no match to a cocaine sniffing failed accountant who took our economy from where Jonathan and ngozi left it as biggest economy to 4th in Africa...you should be ashamed of your IQ and your banana education.

But Tinubu is taking more loans than Buhari did. So how can you claim he is repaying loans whilst he is actively taking loans?

We have absolutely nothing to show for this loan. Just look at some of the things we took the loans for, you'd know they were taken to line the pockets of some people while we pay back.

The easiest way to get healed is to give up on Nigeria.

GEJ's governement was riled with policies that didn't really improve standard of living or economic potential of Nigeria. it was too bad. Then Nigerians went for Buhari.... omo we have suffered
The best economic In Africa at that time standard of living was OK. Now Tinubu government is diplomaticly blaming pdp administration. Let Tinubu government publish all the loans from obasanjo to Tinubu era each loan each président took so far let us shame the devil 😈

Tinubu and Buhari are the biggest culprits
No saints but they had to deal with the mess. PDP could not fix refineries and power in 16 years. GEJ started borrowing to pay salaries, Okonjo revealed that even before they left power. Everything finished by the end of GEJ's tenure.

Who sent his father to become a donkey for Nigeria? He rigged his way up there to carry Nigeria's load right? You think Nigerians are brain dead‽

Your Jagabandit himself, hasn't he added to those loans? He's paying 69 different loans, how many has he collected within 1 year in office?

Same blame game you guys played for 8 years under Buhari, always blaming the previous administration, you guys want to continue... When Nigerians can't take it anymore, all of you will suffer the consequences.
