I don't claim to be anything.
Check all the times FG increased minimum wage and check when it was effective for NYSC corper.
Again, if you understand how FG pays salaries.
You would know corpers are not permanent staff and are not on any salary scale. So NYSC will need directive and get disbursed before that minimum wage will be effective for corpers. It is not automatic.

I be dey think say Corps members are not staff of NYSC. The last time i check, the NYSC cleaners and gardeners are the lowest cadres of NYSC.

My question is, how did corps members come into this 70k minimum wage supplement?

Corps members should know that what they are currently earning is not salary but rather monthly ALLOWANCE. That's why is called ALLOWEE.

When FG increased allowee from 8k to 17k up to current amount, no be corps members handiwork do am na government willingness.

May God touch FG to increase corps members allowee.

The stress of NYSC is worth more than 70k, some people even spend close to 70k from one state to anothr because of NYSC, rent house, feeding and other miscellaneous

I remember when one of the assistant state coordinators or something like that was telling us to try and save, I was just looking at the women. Like is she whining us ni, out of 33k. Let say one even use 1k for feeding everyday, it would remain 3k, not to talk of other expenses.

So u mean after implementing for NYSc they can now legally warn than graduates that are working with private school 😂😆

Corpers should just forget about that 70k for now.

Are corpers not on an engagement away from their home and families by the said Govt? Are corpers not using the same public transport and markets every other Nigerian worker uses? Make Una dey try get sense small for this country. Minimum wage means the least anyone engaged by any organization be it govt or not should earn. I see no debate in this if FG is fair

Let them continue enjoying their former pay, afterall they still earn from their PPA too so they can join that too. Nigeria is seriously in dangerous debt and we haven't even sorted that out As far as i am concerned NYSC should be for max, 3-6months, pay them off and let them move on. 12 yrs crossing country is an absolute waste of time, lives, and resources. If only u know how many corpers have lost their lives during service u will understand that the scheme is a waste of time. Corpers pay is not Nigerias problem right now, the country has BIGGER FISH to fry

We are talking about humans here, if FG wants to scrap it then it should be done at once, rather than suffering the poor youths. The advantages of NYSC are much compared to it's disadvantages.
