Just 10m for our deadwood, Deco has been nothing short of a disappointment fr, he just knows how to scout talents but convincing them and negotiating sales? Mba
Alemany is goated

Let Kounde play Rb while Cancelo have the Left back.. Cancelo is a proper baller for me.
The deal even looks pretty hard as of today, City won't give us another loan and we won't pay what they're asking for, besides if he's coming he ain't benching kounde, balde also has to be the starting LB, we also have Valle or Gerard martin there

He is a fool

Julian araujo should have been sold for 20M and with a future percentage if Bournemouth sells him later

If city don't give us another loan, then he should go. He's not indispensable

We were not the only ones buying expensive players back then, bloated salaries even to players from our academy got us into this mess, Financial mismanagement
Doesn't change the fact we produce more stars from lamasia than we buy from outside
Your definition of "stars" seems to be doing the heavy lifting. Cubarsi for instance is not a "Star" yet, that a player played some games for a top club doesn't make him a star. You actually buy "stars" more than you produce when you get down to the facts.

Your squad last season contained 1 out of 2 goalkeepers who was a La Masia

In your entire defense, only Alejandro Balde was a La Masia and when injuries ravaged your defense you gave Cubarsi a chance

Your midfield has a good number of La Masia with 4 out of seven although one was bought back at age 31 having spent most of his career away from your club but I give you that anyways

The attack however has only Yamal as a La Masia who's in the first team regularly.

Out of all La Masia players that played regularly for the first team last season only Yamal would I kind of agree to be a "star" the rest are just youngsters who appear to have some talents that are being overrated by your fans just like any fan would

My club's greatest era was literally created both coach and players by mostly lamasia?
Without lamasia my club would have faded into oblivion in the past few years, how the hell were we getting players "for free" before the economic levers in 2022? Gavi the golden boy winner? balde?
Cubarsi might not be a "star" yet in his own right, but that kid already has a UCL MOTM award and Olympic gold medal under his belt, he didn't even even just win it as a bench warmer but a bonafide starter putting in top performances even in the final they won, I don't need to talk about Fermin Lopez, his performances speak for themselves, even the Olmo we bought is a lamasia graduate
Infact I dare you to name any top recognized club with history that has more academy players in their lineup rn than Barcelona

I must admit I did miss Gavi there and he can, to an extent, be regarded as a star

Nonetheless Seems you're changing the topic though

Your claim is that you bring up more stars from La Masia THAN you buy from outside and my point is that's evidently false. My listing those players is to prove that. MaTS, Inigo, Alonso, Araujo, Kounde, Christiansen, Pedri, Frenkie, Gundogan, Ferran, Lewa, Raph, Felix, Roque are not La Masia
Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Ijustwantto: 2:56pm On Aug 11
Normally, the whole fc Barcelona squad cannot be full of academy sqad alone. The argument started with my post, boasting of how my academy has been, both in past and recent years. My point is only trying to prove how goated la masia is. Most of our stars and world class players, both past and present are mostly from lamasia, including the one who settled the GOAT debate.
If I say "we don't buy dem, we produce dem", am only taking a swipe at real gbadrid, who can't boast of a world class la gbabrica players like us. Shikena 😎

Please chief how many of these names can be termed stars apart from maybe 4 or 5 up there? Or isn't it mostly your fanbase is full of average players and can't match up to the best in the world? Tbf when I saw some names you listed I suddenly burst into laughter
Of course we've buying players over the years and would still buy but I don't see any top club that brings starlets from the academy and grooms them into first team stars as much as Barça
You also didn't answer my question on my last paragraph

Because the question is irrelevant to your claim I'm challenging and here it is again. "Barcelona brings up more stars from La Masia THAN they buy"

If you said "Barcelona brings up more youngsters from their lowest academy and turn them to stars more than any other top club" then your question would've been relevant.

He'll battle for the AMF position with Olmo and Fermin since he's not a LW

we all know that there's not gonna be any battle in that AMF if midco comes. Olmo will outrightly be the starting AMF and that leaves Pedri on the bench. I can't fathom seeing pedri on the bench while midco starts. I really hope this news isn't authentic.

There's also the CM role, gundogan might not get much playing time this season, we also don't know about FDJ's situation but let's see how Flick wants to set up, also remember the hefty fixture list we have next season due to the UCL new format

Pedri that is unreliable, fitness wise. They'll have to battle it out in the midfield. If you want to play constantly, then work harder to stay fit

Who's midco? Is it Nico Williams that you have already started hating even though we haven't signed him yet, and you call yourself Barça fan?

Every Barça fan is very excited about potentially signing him. He'll play LW, while Lamine Yamal hugs the RW. I don't understand this belittling

He's the new captain of the team. He has to know the team will depend on him to lead from the back

I don't really fancy such setup.

1. How does the coach pass quick instructions to the Goalkeeper/Captain from the sidelines.

2. How easy is it for Goalkeeper/Captain to get instructions across to the forwards on time.

I prefer a midfielder as a Captain over a Goalkeeper anyway

There's no news update on Nico right now. Forget the clicks and baits. Nico will be leading the Bilbao attack in the Europa league. The final will be played at their home stadium, San manes and I think he'll be there.

Nico may join Barca in future but not this summer. This is how I see it but we'll see!
