I sent you a PM. Please respond

I also sent you a PM @TateDetule

Thank you so much for this
Im grateful

Hello and thank you for this. The second paragraph about sending documents, please can you explain further? I will send two couriers, one to Brazil and one to the embassy here? Please help me break it down. Thanks

You are sending a single courier but two packages.

One is for embassy authentication. You will have to include a receiver's address in Brazil and the person's ID in this case copy of permanent resident card.

The second documents are the entire copies you uploaded on the application website.

For one, you would include copy of payment receipt and the embassy would send on your behalf once they are done.

For two, they would send this back to you when they are through.

NB: this would be two payments, international and local. They would explain to you when you get there.

If you are in Lagos you can go to EMS in VI. It's easier and way cheaper.

Also for the legalization with notary public, can I legalize copies of transcript and certificate or that must be taken to MOE? Please respond urgently

TadeDetule:

All you need so is
legalize your documents with the prescribed notary publics but for the Police character you have to take it to MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS in Abuja for legalization
Then pay for embassy authentication
Then fill the manual form sent to you and upload it together with the listed required documents.
Then go to the appointment site after submission to book an appointment
An email would be sent to you to send the hard copy. In this case it must include all the documents you want to authenticate+the ones you uploaded and your original passport.

The sending of documents must be done via your courier of choice and you must include a prepaid envelope in your parcel which the embassy would use to send your documents back to you. Two for your authenticated documents you are supposed to send it to an address in Brazil so you could tell you supervisor about this by asking for his address. This means you would be paying for both local (to and fro) and international courier fee but both would be addressed to the embassy. It is the embassy tha would help you send your authenticated documents to Brazil and for your other documents and passport they would be send back to your Nigeria address ensure you include your receipt of payments in the parcel

After the online application, go ahead to book appointment for both. They are separate requests. Follow the prompt for each and wait for the embassy to acknowledge your request. You would be advised to print the receipt of appointment and add to the documents you are sending to them
Re: Study In Brazil: Admissions And Visa Procedures by Ebereola: 10:22am On Aug 12
OK. I am understanding small small. God bless you for me. Just to be sure I am not doing the wrong thing, please see the steps I am following;

1. Gather all my documents
2. Notarize at the Notary public and MFA. Please for this, am I notarizing two sets of documents? since you said I will send one to my contact in Brazil? ( Please help me break it down. I don't want to make mistakes.
3. Fill the online form
4. Book appointment for both legalization and study visa
5. Please how do I know how much to pay since I am supposed to make payment for legalization before sending via courier?

ALSO, PLEASE AM I NOTARIZING ALL DOCUMENTS (Apart from PC that is supposed to be notarized with MOFA)

I need help.
Can you recommend the other schools or schools that are open for me to apply now.

Thank you.

You will.get it
Just widen your options
Mine didn't come easy too
I got two rejections
The.first school I applied to, I passed the entrance exam,.it was five of us that passed when it was time for interview they sent a mail that the interview will be conducted in Portuguese, i was discouraged but i still joined by the way, they didn't interview me , they only advised that i should go and learn the language and reapply next year, it was devastating. The second school too was another story before I now got this one.
So the summary is intentionality.
All the best to you

Please I need help with other schools that are open to foreign students living outside Brazil.

I tried applying to https://www.fiap.com.br/mba but their requirements are so stringent that I cannot apply from Nigeria without help.

[8/13, 12:56 PM] FIAP MBA: Right Ifeoma, in reality the option for international extension is for students who study here to go abroad.
[8/13, 12:57 PM] FIAP MBA: To study here as a foreigner, the following documentation is required:
Covalidation of the diploma, transcript and sworn translation.
RNE issued in Brazil.
Issue the CPF on the Federal Revenue website.
[8/13, 12:57 PM] FIAP MBA: Covalidation of your diploma can only be done in Brazil.
The RNE is the national foreigner registration that must be issued directly to the Brazilian federal police.

If you don't mind a private University, there are really good schools for different types of MBA programs. They are also taught in English.

The truth is that they are very expensive but they offer payment in installments as much as 24 months. They also have exchange programs which allow you to visit different countries around the world during your course.

If you have the skills, you can do remote North American and European jobs to fund your studies. Classes are very flexible too. I don't work for them but I have a friend that pulled this off this way 👆🏾

Amen o! 🙏

The scholarship is my 1/3 anti-APC anti-Tinibu plan.

The second one is apply directly to schools directly because, like I said earlier, they do not owe my papa a scholarship be we can hope for the best.

The 3rd is already taking shape too.

I have been learning portugese since last year August but I must confess, portuges is a hard language. Their verbs has too many forms and the word arrangement can be confusing.

Its hard because you are learning the wrong way.
Learn the way a baby or an illiterate learns.
1st stage you just want to understand what actions or meanings are associated with the words you hear. So if you don't live in a Country where the language you are learning is spoken, you want to download plenty of videos with subtitle in the same language and not English. This is a very common mistake we all make while learning and reason we keep struggling with first thinking of what we want to say in English before converting to the new language.
2nd step, commit to writing out at least 5 new words you learnt each day. So as step 1 gets you to learning the language, step 2 will help you achieve whatever level of mastery you desire.

I wouldn't say this is the case though. I practice my portugese daily on Duo, I read portugese on my socials, I chat with some portugese friends and I attend a weekly class.

It's just that learning a new language is hard, I wish I could be doing more but we are always on our toes trying to outsmart my brother and his stupid government policies.

Thanks for the input though.

Seems this thread only comes alive in GCUB season and then goes dead.
But considering how short the application window is, I would have thought discussions and engagements continue through the year to get documentations ready in advance.
Re: Study In Brazil: Admissions And Visa Procedures by MrNovo: 11:17am On Sep 12
GCUB is not the only pathway for Masters and PhD admissions in Brazil. In fact all the schools run their independent admission programs.
If there's a WhatsApp group specifically for postgraduate admission in Brazil, someone should kindly point me to it otherwise if you are interested get in touch with my number below let's have a group where we can share urgent updates and assist each other through the process.
Forget visitors visa especially if you already have a Bachelor's degree.

Login through Sigaa and apply for some schools that their applications are still open, last week I checked Msc in nursing and some other Msc and PhD courses are still open.

Also visit a lot of the schools websites and apply for available problems, apply for as many as possible while still waiting for GCUB result that will be out by November. Some of these schools offer scholarships with stipend just like GCUB program.

Congrats! As it said, good things come to those who are patient.
Please if you don't mind drop the name of the school that insisted on interview in Portuguese, so we can avoid them.

Hello Everyone!

I know there is a thread already about Giving birth in Brazil. On that thread, I have seen many people make inquiries about study without a lot of response. I decided to open a thread dedicated to studying in Brazil.

Brazil welcomes International students to study in their country and all public Universities are tuition free even for foreigners. Brazil is also trying to encourage International students to come and study here in Brazil, hence they have set up GCUB which is a body that provides funding (grants) to international students who intend to study in Brazil. The funding is a monthly stipend provided to support students while studying. Without it, you can still study for free.

Admission Process
Each faculty decides their own admission process so if you’re interested in a particular course, you’ll need to check the faculty website to see when they usually start their admission process as well as requirements. Some faculties require entrance exams, some don’t. If they do, you’ll make arrangements to write the exam in Nigeria.

Language
Brazil universities are one of the best in the world. Learning language is Portuguese but as an international student, you can request to do your work in English. Depending on your faculty requirements, you may need to write Portuguese proficiency exam or complete a Portuguese course within one year of admission.
Most of the Universities website have the option to view their website in English language at the top of the website. If not you can use your browser’s translation tool to translate the website.

After Gaining Admission
You’ll need to authenticate your documents at the Ministry of foreign affairs and Ministry of Education. You’ll also legalize with the Brazilian embassy in Lagos.
You’ll then apply for your study visa. If you have a study grant, you may not need to prove financially capability, otherwise you’ll need to.

If you know about this process, please feel free to contribute.

i sent you an email
