Was this why CBN didn't bail out Heritage bank?

Who is the "alleged" owner of HERITAGE BANK?

The answer will give you an insight into the "WHY" grin

The renewed interest in VERITAS last week was as a result of UNITY/PROVIDUS news...

This is the honest TRUTH

I can't answer that as Mr Time has that answer but it won't be long

My brother if you have spare funds just leave it in UNITY at #1+ you won't regret it if you play your games well...

This government means it this time on UNITY as they won't want to offend the north

DD always

I know it will be very hard to convince some people, especially those with views you seem to have, that Unity has since ceased to be a northern bank. The gist is that it was bought by infact a South Easterner through proxies, and that man, being very influencial in this govt, is instrumental in having CBN bail out the bank. Now having been merged with a southern bank the stigma of being a northern bank should be finally removed.

I understood that your "Common Sense" strategy is FA based somehow....
I however will say, SA wise this stock CWG and Ikeja Hotels are promising, may not be now, but there's something that will come up along the line to make them attractive to investors.
Financial wise, there are lots of improvements Q-on-Q

For CWG, from 5 and below, I think it should be good for accumulation.......barring any unforeseen circumstances.

Thank you for your comments yMcy56. Noted.
Common sense is at N5.30 approximately. I wouldn’t buy till it’s well below that price. I will, however, based on your depth of guru insight, keep it on watch list. You have my utmost respect.

It's a Northern Bank and that's the bitter truth

Maybe with the presence of PROVIDUS it will have a southern face

In addition or alternative to Registering on Registrars portals for E-Dividend mandate, you can also register on the E-DMMs portal launched by SEC in July to mandate your E-Dividends.

Here's the SEC link:

You can contact them if you need more clarifications or you have enquiries.

Pls who have Oando offer 10 - 20M Units?
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by KarlTom: 9:57am On Aug 12
With the scramble for capital, I do not believe they can source for the recapitalization funds (they need N151.8 billion to maintain the national banking license) through PRIVATE PLACEMENT.
So I believe the merged entity will list... wink

SonofElElyonRet:

This is the first strong enough reason I've read to buy shares in unity bank...but upon acquisition (or merger), will the emerging entity be on NASD or NSE or simply choose to buy out unjty bank shareholders and be a private company just as providus currently is ?

More on Unity Bank.

Mainly because of its "strategic/peculiar presence" in the North.

The table you are shaking is on another level and an interesting one. At the minimum, two former Head of States who held power for long spells have vested interested in that Unity Bank PLC.

Oga MegaWealth, just to support your views, the table he is shaking is on another level. In addition to the ownership of Heritage Bank, he needs to check out the ownership (present and past non executive directors) of Unity Bank PLC and its former subsidiaries, then he will understand the Nigerian system better that some animals are more equal than others. 🤐

This is the bitter truth... MANY PEOPLE from North won't bank again if UNITY is out of the way... Before I started loading UNITY sometimes ago... I heard from a reliable source that it won't go down which to me was rumors at the time...

But you know majority of the people here love only to drag themselves so I just posted that I have started reloading heavily and I advised others to do same at their own risk...

Funny enough it went so low to #1.2+ or so and I kept buying but when it started moving a bit up I paused buying thinking it will get to below #1 sometimes later so I can continue my buying spree... BUT

I'm not even done buying sef... Make them lift the suspension first grin
