megawealth01:they all work together infact the bunkering system is far more complex than before.....In 2006-2007 it was easy for me to have access to those into the trade but now the military and the cartels has changed the game and I see them as a front for the elites. In the last administration I heard about the adamawa boys but didn't dig deep about them. Bunkering business always evolve in every administration, there will always be new cartels in every administration.everybody wan drink the blood money. |

unite4real: As at then Alat was a B2C (Business to customer) while that of Providus is B2B (business 2 business). Then, with Alat, customers open limited digital account with Wema without owning a direct account with the bank. For Providus, they onboarded fintech partners with super agent licenses like Monnify who then onboarded smaller agents like Fairmoney who now service individual customers depending on their products. I know this because I initially wanted to float a fintech product. |

Omooloriredade: I guess this is how CBN rationalized it. I have a bank that wants to upgrade their license. I also have another with a national license that is about to go under, a bank that I have bailed out before, which means they need a new management and strategy. Since this new bank seems to be efficiently managed, why not combine the two, one would have the national license while the other will stay afloat with new management. 1 Like |

![]() ![]() General Manager, SubSurface, Oando Energy Resources, Babafemi Onasanya... expressed that partnerships were not just critical, but essential to the development of the sector. He highlighted the industry’s reliance on Joint Venture (JV) partnerships between operators and the Nigerian government, underscoring the importance of collaboration and shared goals. “As more indigenous players take up prominent roles in the industry, they will need to secure key partnerships in critical areas for efficiency and sustainability.[i] [i]“The first necessary partnership is with financial advisors/offtakers to either fund the capital-intensive nature of the business, or to provide advisory to source and secure funding.[i] [i]“The second is a deliberate, engaging and adaptable partnership with host communities to encourage better dialogue and impact.
