Gerrard59:Lol Our leaders are supposed to be the best of us. But once the head is rotten, it is only a matter of time before the body becomes putrefied. We're suffering the consequences of decades-long corruption and abandonment of duties. Now, everyone wants to make money, build a house or houses and buy cars. Nobody really cares about making a lasting impact. How they get the money doesn't matter. Someone empties a bottle of drink and flings it out of the car window. Ask him why and you will be making a fool of yourself. |

Leemzyy: You see, same way I felt about you asking whether the school is better than yours (NTIC). I only highlighted that the school is "one of the best" in EDO STATE because an unfair narrative was being painted of spoilt kids showing off under the supervision of a clueless school. I may be uninformed, but I don't even think there's an NTIC in Edo state. So your question is an π or π type for me. |

folake4u:Absolutely! I recalled when I worked in Nigeria and we were preparing to publish the salaries range of employees in a major industry in Nigeria, my boss' friends cautioned against it because people would now know how much their salaries are. We too dey hide things, especially info that could be of immense benefit to the society. Why I nor go like money?πππMy female classmates from secondary school and university have chastised me for being "stingy". In my defence, I say I am frugal or prudent. One said na lie, that I am parsimonious. Truth is: I am not a fan of giving people money "anyhow". I believe there has to be workings behind every financial request and well detailed. Just like my fact-finding mission, the person has to provide reasons why that money is needed. One in secondary school likened me to Nkem Owoh in the movie "Calculator". I spend on women and largely with no strings attached. I can invite a random lady to a nice restaurant and I will cover the bills (I have done such both in Nigeria and here). What I don't like are excessive demands as I see on social media these days. I will snap out of anger. I have bad mouth sef. 3 Likes |

Gerrard59: We are shy of speaking about money/salaries in this part of the world to avoid "billing" or for security purpose. Sometimes, I don't blame hoarders. We too dey overdo things. Loool, I'm short of words. Do wetin dey work for you sha. Excessive demands ke? Hmm. Oh well. |

Finalanswer:I am curious, why did you resign? How much is the starting salary for teachers (and the subjects) in the school? How was the working environment? Sorry for the many questions. 2 Likes |

folake4u:Unfortunately, I am not interested in owning real estate properties in Nigeria as the numbers don't make sense to me. On the other hand, apparently, due to those locations, I am not the right man for your friends as I am not interested in living there. If I should own properties in Nigeria, it has to be in my dominant environment. Outside Nigeria, the numbers must make sense. Too bad, but nothing spoil. 1 Like |

folake4u:Japan is not so good for rental real estate outside the major cities. Tell your friends to be interested in Mauritius, Singapore, Dubai, South Africa, parts of housing shortage Western Europe, the US and Singapore. Then we can see where it goes from there. |

Good for them! Itβs really encouraging to hear that some students are managing to enjoy a great lifestyle and have ample financial resources. I often find myself wishing I could be one of those students. Instead, Iβve been scraping by, barely having enough cash to cover essentials like https://academized.com/write-my-thesis, which has been crucial for managing my academic workload. Itβs been a struggle to find enough money even for social events and parties. Balancing finances while trying to keep up with studies and social life can be really tough |
