Nonybb: I think your submission lacks context. What you haven't realised is that we're faced with the same GEJ/GMB situation in 2015. The question is, what better alternative do Edolites have through the ballot? Don't talk about LP, because the grassroots indices are not in his favour. Have you met the APC guy, and those around him? Should we not judge between Asue and Okpebolo? Obaseki's shortcomings are not the issue here. Like I said, it's tit-for-tat comparison not sentiments. Since Nigerians made that mistake at the national level in 2015, you and I know the story today. APC candidate will reverse our fortunes in Edo State. Why? Because you can't give what you don't have; just like PMB ( PBAT's government is still new). The facts are always there, them no dey tell person. 1 Like |

Any candidate who cannot come to a national television to tell us how he intend to govern us must not see the light of the day when it comes to voting our leaders. A candidate must sell himself to the people he intend to govern. He must tell us his plans on how he will revitalize various sectors of the economy be it infrastructure, health, education, security, unemployment etc. This is the only way the people can hold you in high esteem. If a candidate cannot come out to dy/dx all of this before us am sorry you cannot get our votes |

senatordave1:In what capacity could rate Okpebuholo more than Asue and Apkata, a dropped out from secondary School. Even when he managed to write GCE at 40, he still get F9 parallel. Which leadership skill does he have, the one he acquired from motor pack? Why do we allowed sentiment to becloud our sense of reasoning in this country and expect a better country. |

Odidigboigbo: Oga,I am disappointed that a political guru like you will say this. Leadership is beyond education or academic brilliance, paper qualifications and exploits. some leaders are born. Some leaders are made through informal settings. Okpebholo had his tutelage under the late Political sage Anenih the leader of the Esans, learnt under Oshiomhole, despite his poor background founded his own firm, carried out several philanthropic activities long before politics. this is true leadership, this is a man who loves his people, who knows their problems, who is close to the grassroot. Asue is an elitist fellow worse than Obaseki.he has headed several firms without contributing to the development of Edo.all his investments are in Lagos/Ibadan.he is detached from his people,he doesn't even vote in Edo nor know his culture. In Akwa cross, you cannot get any leadership role if you are not invested in your community. Besides, boardroom politics is different from secular politics. You are looking down on Motor Parks, are you aware motor park politics is very complicated? Asue is another Uduaghan.i believe Sheriff your governor has same educational CV like Okpebholo so drop it... Let me summarize it by saying that in politics and leadership generally, you deal with everyone both those you like and those you hate,Friends ane enemies.you must manage people, accommodate people of various interests. If you cannot manage your party or home, you cannot manage a state.Asue is a divisive figure? You think Okpebholo likes all those surrounding him? Asue is a divisive figure and not fit for politics |

KingOfTheDamned: ![]() ![]() ![]() Dude, Edo was an empire with various tribes. Those who settled in Edo South are Edo/Benin now. Obaseki is Anioma dude. Obaseki is a chieftaincy title Oba Ovonramwen created for his ancestor. Loads of Benin origin people are in big positions in Yorubaland, especially Ondo State. I know many. But they changed their names to fit in decades ago. Some people who know little will dispute it here. I have invited them over many years to follow me to Yorubaland. Some Edo people there are monarchs, LGA chairmen, etc. If his name was just Osaigbovo Akpama, you won't know he has Yoruba roots. Benin tolerance allowed Yoruboid people to keep Yoruboid culture/name without issues. Edo/Benin believe in Gie unu no z'Edo gha z'Edo, no z'Eka gha z'Eka. 1 Like |

senatordave1:If office of the governor of a state is only reduced to providing borehole and sharing money for the boys I agreed less with you. Come to think of it how would someone like Monday that can barely speaks a simple English negotiate a deal for the good of the state, nor have a policy/Ideas that will better the state? Ever since he has been in the Senate, he has never contributed to any debate not to talk of sponsoring a bill. For Delta State Governor, he is not in the Calibre of Monday in terms of education. Though he got his education at a bit advanced age with BSc, MSc and some advanced training with Manchester, LSE, etc; that cannot be said of Monday that got F9 parallel in GCE 2 Likes |

AreaFada2: Wagbe oo! Ozuor. You are too low for me to argue with .I never get in the mud with swine. So you Amala munching orangutans can keep trying hard to claim superiority o er a tribe that wants nothing on earth to do with you for as long as you like. It won't change the facts you are hated in Edo state ... One would have thought the way we embraced and carried Peter obi on our head would have let you all know the undeniable truth. We don't like Yorubas, we never have we never will. We don't see anything good in you lot. Infact ask the so called indigenous groups that speak you language how they are seen. Have you ever seen an Edo indigene refer to a Yoruba as my brother or sister ? Never ! It is always you descendants of Lucifer that are always famzing us. Anytime my supervisor in the office has a chance he is always quick to quip how Yoruba and Edos are brothers and I always correct brain that we aren't. You and us have nothing ,I mean if Nigeria were to break today we will ratfter side with the Fulani if there is no Niger delta Republic. No single Edo indigene wants to be in the same country with you lot. Abi the way he have always rejected apc and Tinubu hasn't taught you enough? Ozuor 1 Like |

Odidigboigbo: This is very disappointing again sir.i respect you so muh. Is it easy to construct boreholes? Our leaders struggle to provide potable water and then a private individual is doing it,why not appreciate it? Even Obi struggled to construct quality boreholes.Okpebholo didn't stop there,he donated transformers, built classrooms, empowered youths with his limited resources.which one did Asue do? In elementary government, lawmaking is a primary duty for the lawmakers but in Nigeria, constituency projects are also key. Most of the motions and bills that are sponsored end up nowhere, never see the light of the day and does not help the common man.what benefits the masses is the projects carried out by those legislators that is why they are measured by their projects not outspokenness.the best senator in ss so far is Asuquo Ekpenyong because he has carried out the highest number of projects. Okpebholo is a man of few words,he believes in action not empty talks.basic needs of his zone are roads, electricity and he is working on that....even oshiomhole that is outspoken has no bill to his name so leave Monday. Monday may not be fluent or eloquent like Asue but he speaks well sir.A Monday that is not educationally sound but loves his people and is ready to work is better than a brilliant Asue who does not rate his people sir.you don't know the road to your village but because you want to become governor, you visit them suddenly.that is rubbish |
