For those of you that have travelled to the Uk and other European countries where Christianity is prevalent, you will notice that few people especially their young population have the habit of going to church every Sunday, unlike in Africa where religious attendance is the bane of Christians every Sunday.
The reason is that, the vast majority of Christians in Africa are technically ignorant of their bible
So, it appears that African christians cannot do without church every Sunday. Poverity of most citizens can be pointed as the main cause.

Poverty has a way of tilting the mind to put hope on miracles where miracles do not exist.

So the question is, do you need church for anything?

The answer is, the only reason why you will need church is because you need to be alleviated. Otherwise, it is the church that needs your money.
But when you are self sufficient you don't need church for anything.

John 4:20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.
John 4:21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.

As a Christian, your worship was suppose to be between you and your God without interference of anyone, group or place.

It was never suppose to be a thing of show

How did Paul become a minister of the good news?

Please go & study the conversion of Paul in Acts chapter 9 and solve your confusion.

Note that we are not living in Pauls era anymore, times have change.

In this era, people are so intelligent that they care more about your ability to practice what you preach.
They want to see you living the life so that they can emulate you to become believers rather than mere preaching it.

Please go & study the conversion of Paul in Acts chapter 9 and solve your confusion.

Another person will have a total different reason.

Mine is to take my wife and kids there and vamoos! I don't need them.

They have tried all manner of things to follow me up mostly to find out reasons why I shun the gathering, but of no vail grin

Someone has said to me in church one day , i like the way you practice your Christianity, but i don't understand
Then is asked him, do you understand anything from the one you have been doing?
He said no.

Then i told him, look for something that fit you that you can adapt

I wish that the truth about this should be told in the meetings so that people will know that there are alternative means of worship order than gathering, so that they will be free from the grip of religion.

But, which pastor today is ready to say this truth to their members seeing that they are cashing out from their ignorance and life is sweet?

Churches today have abused the essence of gathering by exploiting members unnecessarily

Catholic through out history, started taking advantage of gathering to exploit people, that's why the likes of Martin Luther King jnr revolted.

The solution is to teach them the truth and set them free.

I will say this,
Every Sunday, they keep making prayers for financial success and healing.
The next Sunday, they will say the same prayer.
Another Sunday the same thing..

And i ask myself, when will church members get the financial success and healing so that all these repeated prayers will stop?

Meanwhile, each Sunday they are paying.
Are they truly getting what they are paying for?

The purpose of the gathering or congregating of the church back then in the time of the apostles was for encouraging one another and showing support to those who were needy.

Todays church is the total opposite.

Jesus didn't commission a group for the needy rather his goal was for his disciples to make all the people they find listening to them disciples like themselves {Matthew 28:19-20} and they are like one big and happy family of peace loving worshipers globally! John 17:22 compare to Isaiah 2:4; Zephaniah 3:9

Any religion not meeting up with this criteria are not CHRISTIANS!
