EXPRESSSMAN:Read between the lines. I'm not making reference to this particular news alone. The attacks on Nigerians from foreigners, especially South Africans, have been incessant and indicative of a trend. Apart from the influence of the bad leaders, many of us are responsible for degrading our national status, with the way we conduct ourselves. Look at one of the comments; one person referred to Nigerians as drug dealers (that definitely looks like blanket statement), others call us fraudsters, and so on. If these were not true, then the 'attackers' wouldn't have a ground. We mess ourselves up in ways unimaginable. Even worse, we go to other countries to do the same thing. Why wouldn't they insult us? Na we dey cause all this see finish.. a whole south Africa. Oddly, the set of people spearheading these attacks consists only of the blacks there. Bros it's shameful! |

masterfactor: So the Yorubas that are arrested in US for BEC scam, those arrested in UK for credit card scam and those in death row in Saudi Arabia and Oman for drug trafficking during Hajj are not bringing insults to the country abi. You are even more fantastically stupid for even trying to justify this rubbish comment. 1 Like 1 Share |

You should use your brain, I have tonnes of friends living permanently in SA not complaining about hate. Living from Cape town Joburg Pretoria Durban without hating South Africans. Why is your own life shrouded in hate instead of promoting love ? How many South Africans have you met in the road that attacked you for being Nigerian ? Do Nigerians not attack each other here n there, do you start denigrating them ? Well you do no wonder you think you can insult South Africans expect to shiver at your insults. HungerDey: |

The quality of Nigerians on nairaland are the dregs. The very worst Nigeria has to offer. These low quality Nigerians are also on Twitter too, but their bigoted voices have been drowned out by much better Nigerians. |

masterfactor: Yorubas also share spotlight as well. The ones that were jailed in US for BEC scam that were caught trying to run to Naija nko? Or the one that is a special adviser in Dapo Abiodun's cabinet that was jailed in the US Nko? which disgrace is worse than that? 1 Like 1 Share |

Iamgrey5: You are still part of the problem. As you have yet again become guilty of what you accuse others. The drug dealer name calling, who supplied it? South Africans now create Twitter profiles using photoshopped images of square headed people, please who started it? Worst parts if it is that you will go to the posts of such xenophobes and see south west Nigerian people hailing them. As I'm talking to you now, many south west APC guys are posting on Twitter using profiles claiming to be Igbo while the profile pics have photoshopped images of square headed people. You are guilty of what you accuse others of. That you're blind to your own misdoings doesn't make you innocent. |

KingCold:where is the victimhood. Doesn't the fact state it, that many south Africans are envious/jealous of many Nigerians, that's why they attack at the slightest instance, just to tame their already deflated egos? Ask yourself why aren't Nigerians and other countries attacking south Africans, isn't because they're not as pathetic as many of those south Africans. Tssk. |

naptu2:From the responses here, this clearly shows that South Africans are very weird and the lowest thinking set of black people on earth. So, can't they find a single interpreter in their country to interpret the language used in the video for them before the start making useless and senseless comments? What is more surprising to me is their federal government through the so called ministry of home affairs toeing the same path that their illiterate social media ranters toed. So can't their government look for or pay an interpreter to translate the Igbo language for them to enable them make an informed decision on the matter? What a country!! Even me as a private individual, upon seeing the video here,I immediately called one of my colleagues who is an Igbo girl to come and interpret the video for me.She just did.I even call a corpper too separately and asked for interpretation and he confirmed the same thing that my colleague said. And in all this,it didn't take me up to 30 minutes to know the truth. But a country of over a million people can't investigate a simple matter like this and get the truth for almost a month now? Or are they intentionally being mischievous? It is only one of them, one Goldman Starz that tried to be reasonable a little by asking if they have Aquafina table water in Mzanzi. And he concluded by saying that the video actually took place in Nigeria and not in SA.The rest of the south Africans were numbskulls. Look at the insult to Nigeria by them. These are the people our fathers spent a lot of resources that would have been used to develop our country to liberate their fathers from the hands of the apartheid whites whom they now still worship as a demigod today. I won't blame our fathers though because they were actually thinking they were helping their junior brothers to gain freedom not knowing that they were helping bunch of ungrateful, ingratitude and toxic set of human beings in the name of african brotherhood. |

GreatVocalist: I don't buy your ideas. Crime is part of humanity. No society is free from it. It is everywhere. They were highlighting the ones committed by Nigerians, as if the South African society is free of crime without Nigerians. South Africa is the most volatile nation in Africa. The crave for drugs and it must be supplied whether by Nigerians or other nationals. Do they blame themselves for cravings for drugs, no. Crime have consequences, whoever engage in it knows the consequences. South Africa should blame the root of their problems not going to the extent of adopting a video that was done in different language and giving it another meaning. Can you imagine the level of desperation. |
Re: Miss SA Controversy: South Africans Spread Fake News About Nigerians by GreatVocalist: 11:33am On Aug 13 |
EXPRESSSMAN:Crime is deep in humanity. It's one thing to commit a crime within one's original locality, it's another to do same in another man's land. If you check most news about people who committed a certain kind of crime in other countries, you'd notice that we're up ahead on the log. If it's not fraud, then it's a homicide. If it's not homicide, then it's drug dealing. If it's not drug dealing, then it's human trafficking. South Africans are not innocent of these crimes within their locality, but you barely see people talk about how a South African went to another country and got arrested for any of the crimes listed above, or any other. |
