Not looking good. A lot of red flags. But some may argue it’s a growth stock. Well, you properly know what I think. I won’t touch it till it falls below my Valuation based on the Common Sense Strategy. But then, if Geregu is comfortable at N1000.00, who knows? The stock market is a forest. In a financial hurricane, only the Irokos will stand. Is TRANSCORP one? Maybe later. But not just yet.

Summary is viz:
Q =19.97 Kobo
FY = 19.97 x 4
Valuation = 19.97 x 4 x 4 = 319.52
= N3.19

A Reserve Stock Split will increase the price, and reduce OS, but the cap will be unchanged. The company will gain in that they can offer their shares at a higher price in raising more capital in the future.

You mean the fair value is #3+?

"Why would this guy reject an inducement to discredit Dangote Refinery with his pen when he has been a regular critic of Dangote, and he has even criticised the Refinery before?"

This question betrays a severe lack of depth and an inability to deal with even the slightest complexity where the real world is concerned. Some people think real life is like football where you pick a "team" to support through winning and losing.

In these minds, offering strident criticism of Dangote means that I have picked the "anti-Dangote" side, like I'm now supporting Chelsea, so I'm supposed to do nothing other than take the opposite side to Dangote on every issue because dealing with economics and geopolitics is like supporting a football team.

Very dumb!

First of all, my criticism of Dangote Refinery has always been about the timing of its delivery and the politics that made them "commission" it in May 2023, nearly 2 years before it was due to be fully operational. That was, and remains an entirely valid criticism.

Every other criticism I offered revolved around concerns of monopoly business practises and potentially turning Nigeria's energy market into a monopoly - which is also a very valid concern. Ideally, one entity should not control the energy market for 200 million people.

However where the choice presented is between a potential domestic energy monopoly and the imposition of eternal energy poverty and import dependence by foreign actors, which side do you think I'm going to pick? You think I'm going to campaign for the continued poverty of my continent for the benefit of some rich white guy, simply because I don't like Dangote?

Furthermore, you think as an educated person, I would EVER want a $20bn project - the largest single investment ever made in West Africa - to fail? What do some of you think this is? Manchester United vs Manchester City?

How did some of you even grow up and survive into adulthood without the ability to separate issues, assign priority and think in a straight line? More importantly, are you planning to breed?🤔 I hope not. We don't need more idiots on this continent. Lord knows we have too many already.

TRANSCORP OUTLOOK
Transcorp share has experienced some selling pressures in recent time and now providing buying opportunities. There are four possible levels, as labelled on the chart, the price can reverse

1. First support Level (DB)
2. Bullish Order
3. Premium level at 7.70
4. Value Zone

You didn’t have to do this and I was going to totally ignore the topic.

What David was doing was not criticism of Dangote. He was practically discrediting the man’s life’s effort. Saying the refinery would never work and that he was importing products to resell at the refinery was not a criticism of early commissioning.

In any case, I will advise you to be patient and see what Mr Time would do. Time has silenced the enemies of the refinery and Dangote’s giant effort. He doesn’t even need to pay for PR again as his hitherto enemies have been disgraced to turn to his friends. It’s only a matter of patience, Mr Time will unravel David and his true personality.

Now, I leave my friend to resume his unbridled allegations and name calling. Over to him 😁🎓.

I assume it's H1 2024 (in grey) vs FY 2023 (in yellow)... wink

If I'm correct then that's a massive growth.

Heishere:
Providus H1 result.

Slight decrease from 2023 but they have gone far in growth compared to 2022.

TRANSCORP is okay as long as you wouldn’t mind a 5kobo dividend per share bought at over N11.00 If you are willing to wait out price appreciation.

It’s not on my radar for now. Moreover, the NCI is scary.

Hope you no want just de market transcorp. The company is doing exceptionally well these days and is about to pay an interim dividend of 10kobo this month. Full year should be good.
Some of us prefer capital appreciation to dividend, and with transcorp the chances are very high.

I think the guy is trying to be clever by one quarter. What he accused Dangote Refinery was that it was more or less not in existence and that Dangote was rather importing diesel and attempting to sell as being products from his refinery.

I believe he is trying to play both sides to create an impression of being objective in thinking. I still appreciate his release on an attempt to pay him to release a negative report on Dangote, at least we now have an idea that there is a bigger conspiracy than NUPRC to stifle Dangote refinery it does not mean that this guy is not playing a game.

My Common Sense Target N1.64 but brief bus stop at N1.00

FY = 21 x 2 = 42k
Common Sense Value =21 x2 x4 =N1.64

My target will be N1.00

On the release of the purported plot, I agree It was at least a good gesture from him. Even if ee fit be game for him. grin

The logical thing to do now if you are in oando bus is to have additional cash be the side.if it falls,you attack,if it falls again you attack.until the main news is out.

I've even told her that I'm not selling.. I bought at N18.50 so i can afford to be calm.. no way it's falling that bad.. probably N40 or N38 if it falls, before rebounding..

It's natural for some folks to take profit, but remember in this case, they will seek to reenter but at a higher cost.
