Many of these trucks on our roads are in terrible mechanical conditions. The sad reality is FRSC and co do not stop them for inspections as much as they stop smaller vehicles.

This terrible tragedy could have been avoided

Of coarse!
Instead of charging whoever is found wanting in the crash, you will rubbish like " who don die don die" "court can not bring back the dead, forgive".

And that's why people are bold to drive when high or drunk, people even drive against traffic

May God not… which God? Life na luck. One day will be yours. Numerous factors could have contributed to this disaster. May we not be around when such takes place. Come to think of it, may no potential casualty be present whenever such events take place.

Not to be ahead of myself but I can't see one single ambulance/fire truck on site in these pictures?If right,then we need to start asking the right questions.Is it so difficult to make all these basic things available?

The road condition in the axis where the accident occurred also contributed largely to the incident. The portion of the road opened to motorist is very bad even for a single way not to talk of both vehicular movement facing each other on that lane. Govt should hasten up on the project.

My former area. Thank God I survived 3 years crossing that dangerous expressway.

Ibadan always in nairaland news when it's nowhere to be found among top Nigerian cities. Really low per capita economic activities. I'm almost bankrupt here because of no market for my electronics.
