I think the real problem is if u made Africa a country, this would still be a bad result, relatively speaking

Economic strength is playing out here. It isn't a coincidence to see that India with 1.4 billion people had just 5 bronze and one silver medal.

Africa as a single country would be just like India.

Good. Then keep it that way. You are generous enough to bring out such sum.

150k for the prize winners only. 75-50-25 in that order for the top 3.

I don't think money should be given out for data. During the NNFF awards, money was never given by anyone and to anyone for data to compile results. I would not want a situation where people want to be on the committee because of 20k for data.

Let them be those who just want to do it for the sake of it.

Thank you.

I agree with this too

The most detribalized is me. Not because of the money but over the years all I have fought for and being misunderstood for has come to pass.

From Solanke is better than Iheancho debate

Lookman is better than ....

Awoniyi go shine

Ajagun

Nwakali debate (I saw his talent but I also saw there was something missing)

Kayode

Dele

Manuel Akanji debate

They also forgot I spoke about Eze, Tyrone Ebuehi etc talent here before anyone noticed their talent.

I fought for Moses Simon. Victor Moses etc

But once I mention any player that is from sw, their insecurity kicks. Those are the real jingoistic ethnic champions.

Haha!!! Abi all these players I mentioned didn't do well?

At the end of the day, most had/having a decent career.

Have I not been vindicated? I can spot talent when I see one though I might not be perfect but almost. shocked

You yourself know this is not true.

Eguaveon should get the job on the interim, he's the safest option.

βœ”οΈ He knows most of these guys.
βœ”οΈ For the first time in a long time, he's a coach whose selection was almost faultless.
βœ”οΈ He was quite unlucky for losing important games due to goalkeeping errors.
βœ”οΈ Rohr delayed in blooding Lookman and Bassey, Eguaveon came in and captied them almost immediately.
βœ”οΈ No way he's not more technically sound, compared to the clueless Finidi.

Fantastic suggestion! But your nominations?
Joebie and TheGoodjoe detribalized?

For good behavior, of course TheGoodjoe and Komekn all day! but detribalized? naaa!

TheSuperNerd:
Alright. Thank you. Top 3 is great. 75-50-25.

But what exactly is your budget? Coz I didn't even take the data thing into consideration.

You are setting aside 190k for this? 150k for the Top 3 and 20k each to the 2 man committee?

Is that it? The money is your call so think carefully.

Another suggestion:
Please anyone dropping nominations should kindly leave "#Lelion" at the bottom of that post to make the compilation easier for the 2 person committee.

My own Nominations for the award would be:
- Joebie
- TheGoodJoe
- AndrewBaba44

#Lelion

(Trust me guys. It was a hard pick. Several names left out).

For the 2 man committee, I nominate Charlesemeka85 (always active... infact. Na him dey keep the torch burning in my absences) and Maidaboi.

These two will make a fantastic combo for the committee.

I already saw Danielnino00's comment so no need nominating him. He was my first choice actually.

Based on Supernerd suggestion. I will be nominating these three.

1) Charlesemeka85-- Both him and myself have kept this thread going for a while now! He has never for once engage in any political nor tribal issues despite the volume of his posts. This man is more than deserving!

2) BankyGee-- I do visit several sport platforms on facebook and IG, I use to see this good guy posts. No-tribal, always positive, humorous, and intelligent. He is a true sport man! I respect that!

3) Odunayaw-- No clout! Just post and move.

Committee-- Lovewins and TheLoneCitizens

Please don't misrepresent me. It is impossible for me to be tribalized. I am one of the few in the whole nairaland that was defending Sadiq Umar with my full chest. Remember me posting a video of Musa Yahaya and saying he was my best talent in Iheanacho's U17 team.

I am the person that did a tactical breakdown on why I think Solanke is special. I have been attacked for supporting Kelechi Nwakali. I have made most about how good Etim Esin is. So please do your nomination but don't make false impression about people.

Will this Mourinho finish the season at Fernabache like this.

UCL to be honest was a step too far for Fener.
They've not qualified since 2008.

And it would have only exposed how week the side was because Mourinho would have setup conservatively to get results.

The only good thing would have been the prize money.

As open as Galatasary played last season in the UCL, unbeaten against United. They still finished dead last in they group below Copenhagen.

But Fener in the Europa League got to the quarters and were only eliminated by the eventual winners.

In fact, Xabi Alonso was invincible last season because he didn't play in the UCL.
That top level football would have given some reality check and eventually derailed their league season.

So winning Turkey just their second UEFA Cup since 2000 is bigger for me than reaching the UCL.

But my grouse with current Mourinho is he never improves teams tactically, he just makes them mentality giants.

@thanks very much @TheSuperNerd, this your suggestion is great. You are one of the great people pushing this thread forward.
I leave it to you people to decide and workout the best ways to go about it. The thread should decide on the 3 nominees and provide an account to me to transfer the money even tomorrow.
I also buy the idea of 20k, to buy data for those doing the compilation.
NB. It will be an annual award but might not be the same subject matter. Next year might be '' the most detribalized and well-behaved" monikers... For instance, someone like @theGoodjoe ( bluefont warrior), never gets angry or insultive irrespective of the provocations.

Like l said, whatever the thread decides, we go with it and the award is available even now.

I appreciate you for taking this bold step to put anything tribal into bud here but with comments coming up regarding the gifts I will advise you to stop it.

I would suggest a monetary gifts to most intelligent individuals regarding analytical of the games and personalities who never take offense even if they are pushing to the wall in respect of insults.

Giving monetary gifts would never stop tribalism but there are ways to stop it by just ignoring such comments
