Japan Invests $500 Million In Nigerian Power Sector

The Japanese International Cooperation Agency has invested $500 million to strengthen power transmission infrastructure along the Lagos-Ogun Industrial Corridor in southwestern Nigeria.

The investment will cover the Agbara, Mowe, and Sagamu industrial clusters, and will support the development of additional power transmission substations while upgrading existing ones.

The investment will also be used to reconduct existing weak high voltage power lines, and provide new extensions for capacity strengthening and expansion to the new grid.

The investment falls under Nigeria's Presidential Power Initiative, which aims inter alia to boost transmission infrastructure within the province's industrial corridor.

IPOB terrorist outcast, Kenya fixed their power issues in your mkpurumiri-soaked HALLUCINATIONS, not in real life.

"It is a pity that the whole of Kenya can go to a blackout," Mulei Collins, a resident of Nairobi, Kenya's capital, told DW.

The most recent nationwide blackout .. marked the third in as many months, leaving Kenyans perplexed and frustrated.

''Kenya boasts around 87% renewable energy generation, yet its citizens are left fumbling in the dark. Experts say frequent nationwide power outages in recent months show weaknesses in the system that need attention....Having power blackouts is very normal. ...said Charles Onyango, a Nairobi-based urban development consultant.''

Shut up and grow up.

Oh sure the Japanese just came to dash Nigerian officials 500 million dollars to chop.

Because they have nothing to do with their money.

Power sector investment is a continuous process.

Go and ask the previous presidents what they did. Tinubu is not answerable for them.

Ofcourse they aren’t dashing the funds out ,because they know how to manage Nigerian leaders well. So to get the money in multiple folds won’t be an issue to them. Such investment won’t come without terms and conditions,or do you think they are f o o l s like you and your principal? And for you to think the said investment will benefit you or your fa da ,shows how naive you are. I made a mistake mentioning a de..men..ted ani..mal like you.. Another FDI into the country. Meanwhile some people from Obis region will want us to believe that investors are leavingband that the country holds no prospect . Tinubu just travelled to Equitorial Guinea. By the time investment start coming from their they would claim it was Jonathan that started it. More to come to SW, SS and North, the true patriots. Non for the haters !

cheesy
This will do a lot for us
Most companies running exclusively on diesel in times past will now have to use the saved costs for other things

A near-constant power supply in the country means alot and even that alone is an economic reason for mega firms to stay behind as theres a guarantee on productivity increase
