Here's a trick for sponsorship letter. It's usually difficult to get a date that is close. In this month of August, you might only see dates in November. So, you can help your sponsor to check dates on days he doesn't have to be in the office BTW 8am to 10am, free slots will pop-up for that day. So, he has to be ready to go that day. Goodluck

I'd appreciate if I can get your feedback. My appointment is next monday and I intended to use a sponsorship letter. My host has applied but is yet to get an appointment at the foreign office so I don't have it. He's suggesting I go along with a retinue of documents showing his income, mails and all other documents he's exchanged with the foreign office and explain to the VO

I'm not totally convinced about this because the consulate is not the foreign office and besides, there are many others in the same situation. I also don't want a rejection as this can affect my future applications.

Should I risk it or just pass and apply for another interview date?

The email exchange is the most important proof you have to submit. Print it, and take the other proof just incase. They'll give you time to provide the rest. Fear not, you won't get a rejection. Decisions are made when applications are complete. They'll only reject you if you can't provide it after the time frame

Yesterday I received a call from the consulate of germany dubai about my application and some interview was conducted online.

Vo..why going for masters at late 30
Me..gave a reason.
Vo.. How are you tuition fees, have u paid?
Me.. my contract with the university allows me to pay on a monthly instalment but only pay a one time payment of 1500euro for the semester fees before the admission letter will be issue.
Vo.. we have a law for one year payment on tuition fees
Me..meaning the law was not communicated to the universities that give such tuition payment plan.
Vo..can you make the payment and send me the proof.
Me.. I don't have the one time payment of 5500euro but I have a trusted way of instalment payment.

Me.. one of the top reasons that made me chose Germany was for the block account. Which enables me to focus on my studies.

I will like to ask from the experience of those who travelled through the Lagos airport (MMA) after obtaining their visa.
When presenting documents to the immigration/airport officials, is it a must to translate the admission letter and accommodation document to English?
I asked because these documents are normally issued in other languages different from English and our immigrations officers at the airport can only speak English.
I will like to get from the experience of others at the airport.
Then incase there is a need to do the translation to English for immigration officials at the Lagos airport, can anyone share their experience on where they did such translation?

Hi,
My cousin started their visa process in September 2021. Applied for an appointment date in September 2021 and got an AD in September 2022, went for interview and it was good and was given 2 weeks to a month to open blocked acct. The fee was 10,000 something at the time of interview and she was told that although the fee would be changing in January to 11,000 something but it won't affect her since she has already opened a blocked account in September. She sent her blocked acct proof and it was acknowledged.
She didn't hear anything until a courier called with a letter to deliver In February 2023, the letter read that the visa was rejected because the money in the blocked account was not up to 11,000 (she was told not to worry that's why she left it at 10,000) they said she could appeal after completing the money no later than a month from when the letter was delivered (march).
She completed the money in the blocked and sent the proof to the embassy and it was acknowledged by email from them
She didn't hear anything until almost December 2023, and all they asked for was Admissions letter which was sent immediately and it was acknowledged immediately
This is April and she has still not heard anything and its starting to get frustrating for her and she doesn't know what to do anymore
The blocked account has been sitting since September 2022
She did her studenkolleg online in 2021also
