The National Covention of Federation of Catholic Medical and Dental Students(FECAMDS) Nigeria with the theme "GOLIBE (REJOICE) 2024" being hosted by the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) chapter at College of Immaculate Conception, Enugu which is scheduled to hold from Thursday, 15th August to Sunday, 18th August, 2024 has begun on a sad note as the chaplain of St. Rita's Chaplaincy, ESUT Teaching Hospital broke the bad news that delegates from two campuses, University of Maidugri and University of Jos has been kidnapped somewhere in Benue state on their way to Enugu and therefore requested ernest prayers and intercession on their behalf.

This is Nigeria. Plan your lives according to the realities in Nigeria TODAY.

Travelling from Borno to Enugu by road is not only DANGEROUS but RECKLESS too.

Bandits, terrorists, kidnappers and Fulani herdsmen are on RAMPAGE.

Killing and kidnapping is now a MAJOR feature of Nigerian roads much like potholes.

If you CANNOT afford airfares, long journey like this one should ONLY be made in instances where your physical presence is ABSOLUTELY required.

Conventions like this should be STREAMED.

I hope the students regain their freedom. But this is Nigeria where there is no RELIABLE emergency number to call in case of a DIRE emergency like this one.

Benue is now like Maiduguri,,

A one time "Food Basket of the Nation" has become a "Rival Blood Basket of the Country", dragging shoulders with Maiduguri and Zamfara,,

I said Chai.. once again,,
