No be for this market AIT got billions of nsira from Jonathan's administration/PDP for political adverts , campaigns People rushed Daar Communication shares because of this, when the financial result came out the fund was not recorded. The late founder of the company said the contract was between him and Jonathan's government/PDP and not between Daar Communication and Jonathan's government/PDP 10 Likes |

megawealth01: I don't know about buying a stock and going to sleep o. If it's to make money and get out, 2025 is Japaul's year in my opinion. IF they can successfully complete their gold exploration activities, commence refinery operations (or at least be close to starting it). They will be back to positive equity off the back of the recently concluded placement. SP catalysts to look out for: * Commencement of their N25B dredging contract in the Lekki/Ikoyi axis. This remains their major source of revenue for now. * Successful completion of their diamond drilling program that could lead to a gold discovery and increase their reserve. * Completion of their gold processing plant, refinery and other acquisitions. * Ramping up of their mining business. * Bonus is if private placement was to institutional or foreign investors. I don't think so though. The new shares represent 57% of the issued share capital. These are all FA events but not what most here are familiar with. Same situation with Oando. Disclaimer - This is not a recommendation to buy or sell Japaul. I have been wrong many times before. |

emmanuelewumi: It was not AIT that got the money but Dokposi because of his position in PDP then and the money was even a backyard money paid to him from illegal source. A lot of politicians received the same for campaign and adverts in their various states 1 Like |

Mfunkynation: BGL was the issuing house for the IPO. I almost bought it, but the price of the offer did not make sense so I let go I never invested in any of the Private Placement offers we still have several billions of Naira trapped in Private Placements almost 20 years after. Upon how conservative I was, I fell for Wale, couldn't resist his charm, confidence, intelligence and versatility I was carried away by his smooth talk I can say my only school fees on NGX was paid to Oando 2 Likes 1 Share |

Oga Emma you want to be the enemy of this thread as you are de marketing oando Pls what do you think of ucap going forward as per when the bonus is allotted. I am concerned about them generating enough profit to cover the dilution. I have enjoyed the consistant dividend increase. And now worried if it can continue .I would have preferred 1 for 1 bonus but don't know why Tony decided that high bonus .Do you have any information for new fronts to increase revenue seriously beside what they have been doing |

Streetinvestor2: United Capital is a wonderful business. When I sold my Oando in 2012 i used the to by Unilever, Nigeria Brewery and Nestle, I was just tired of Banking stocks. After making profits I used the fund to by APR and United Capital shares. I held on to United Capital shares for 10 years without selling the shares but increasing my holdings. It was early this year that I sold part of my holdings, a little over 900k units to buy FGN bond and Eurobond fund for diversification I will advise you to hold on to your United Capital shares unless you have better options 5 Likes 1 Share |

Another question just crossed my mind on this oando matter .why is agip leaving if those oil wells are full of real wonderful dollar value. I hope they have not bought another expensive shell like in the first deal oh.I hope the management shine eyes well in this second oil company buy.As per power company attached that wan na super story. Any expert in that field what do you think on agip oil wells performance .Make e no be say dey don go buy beautiful nonsense again...lol 2 Likes |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by MARKETJJC: 2:43pm On Aug 16 |
megawealth01: They are criminals, T+3 is for settlement and has nothing to do with dividend or bonus. Once you buy, a share becomes your as in ownership is transferred instantly but possession/delivery takes place on third day. You don't qualify for something because you are in possession but because you own it. Even though a tenant is in possession, GOVERNMENT will pay revocation award to the owner. I have always bought on qualification day and I have always received my dividend. United securities tried that nonsense with me but they later paid me when I took it up with them. Dematerialization means ownership is transferred instantly. Please who will suffer the mark down? The owner, how can I suffer mark down while another will take the dividend? 3 Likes |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by MARKETJJC: 2:47pm On Aug 16 |
Picky1: Closure of register is on 19th and on that date the list of all the people on register will be copied at the close of business. Any person that bought today, his name will appear on that register on 19th(T+3) and it will be copied before business close that day. So any person that bought today is qualified |
