Any expert in that field what do you think on agip oil wells performance .Make e no be say dey don go buy beautiful nonsense again...lol

If you follow this path then FIDSON will be a bad investment or bad company cuz they bought or contracted from GSK. Why did GSK LEAVE ? I think is leaving for same reason as GSK or Mobil or etc grin

New suckers are born everyday, experience is always the best teacher

You really have time today o, oga ema.
I think osita has said the whole truth about this oando.
To me, it is just a waste of time discussing fundamentals with people who have mainly been in the market during bull era.
They will tell you, fundamentals might not matter as long as the share price is rising. And they are right to certain extent.
I will advise you leave this oando issue and discuss some other companies.

If Wale is out of Oando's picture eh and replaced with someone credible believe me I won't even bother about certain stuffs about this Oando...

Truth be told Oando suppose get great future and fortunes for shareholders but will Wale and his boys agree... Will they allow us chop from the fortunes? Because they seems to always have a way of pushing people away grin

For me the only issue with Oando here na the personality of the big boy on it grin

But Oando talk is not basically on fundamental but on Wale and co. Did you not see the last results released?

No be for this market AIT got billions of nsira from Jonathan's administration/PDP for political adverts , campaigns

People rushed Daar Communication shares because of this, when the financial result came out the fund was not recorded.

The late founder of the company said the contract was between him and Jonathan's government/PDP and not between Daar Communication and Jonathan's government/PDP

Thank you Oga Emma for your discussions lately.
Hope it opens the eyes of many.

I recently offloaded my Daar Comm at
47k after waiting for many years.
I can't remember a single communication from them to me not to talk of dividends.

Interesting your take on Oando.
Sold of all my Oando at N4 plus when I got tired with them despite not buying any of my Oando shares less than N30.
The price has appreciated much since then. But nothing much has changed. It is still a gamble.

A gambler can hang around waiting for them but it will be a long wait.

Recently also offloaded most of my Dang Sugar, after their recent results, and used the funds to buy more Zenith Bank at N34.
Maybe I shd ve waited a little for the Sugar but I bought all my shares when the price was below N20.
So that money will get me more Zenith Bank interim dividend and Full year dividend.

Traders can make money from the likes of Oando n co but not true minority investors.

Many in will still cash out at a point. Not easy tying down one's funds for years without returns.

Dividends are important to me and I expect to get them from my investments.

Just got Afriland dividend and also expecting Afriprudential today.

So this is how I roll now as the CEO of my
Holdings.

I only buy and hold dividend paying shares now and once the results is bad. Sharply I reassess my interest in the company.

Everyone shd do their DD and do what's best for them.

I hope it is not beyond that. Then why hasn't oando broken even after all this yr from the first buy.And how do we know that this second buy was at a real discount since they fall mugu in the first deal for 1.5 billion dollar

How 10% shareholding increased to 60% get as e be

When they even bought FGN shares in the defunct Oando they used bank loans for the acquisition

Another smart move when they came on board was to sell their shares in the property that was there head office beside Eko Hotel and then became a tenant in the property where they used to be the landlord

What will say of DANGOTE flour that went to #1 and still later sold for #24? Please what made seplat sell for #300 and today #3000? What about FBN that moved to #3 from #70?
What about FO that touched #300 then back to #15? If that is the case, then all the CEOs and all companies are indicted. grin because all the companies had one time or the other moved from dangerously high price to very low price. Please whom do you arrest? I saw where almost everyone including oga Agba was shouting Wale and cowboys for UACN at #4 except OGG that stood his ground and today UACN is #16 with all the benefits that accrued through it in the past. Please is Wale and cowboys no longer alive to kill UACN? grin

You hit the right note there on OGG. OneGentleGuy na one of the real ones on this platform and should be held closely and loved as well.

Moving towards the other part ofnyour message, please note that all these talk about Wale being linked UACN PLC doesn't hit the right notes, joor. Fola Aiyesimoju may have worked for Wale under Ocean and Oil Investments, but he subsequently ported to Standard Bank Group via Stanbic IBTC, created his own private equity firm after his stint and experience there before using it to acquire majority shareholdings in UACN PLC. Fola and his other Stanbic IBTC mavericks like Funke Ijaiya Oladipo are doing a fantastic job and have created their pathway not in anyway connected to Wale.

If a company is having a negative equity over years (different from one off thing that some companies have of recent as a result of forex loss), you want to be careful.

Let me drop my 2cents (as a layman):

Nigeria's Oil Industry is fighting one major battle: Oil theft and vandalism.
This is a major reason for the exit of IOCs from any activity in the ND region.
Secondly some details of the deal are:
- OML 60 - 63 (formerly 20% now 40% stake). Economic limit is 2028. This means profit is only guaranteed till 2028.
- OPL 282 and 135 (90% and 48% stake respectively). Until prospecting becomes production, we can't ascertain their profitability.
- Okpai 1 and 2 power plants (960MW TNC).

Based on 2021 reserves estimates, Oando’s total reserves stand at 503.3MMboe (Million Barrels of Oil Equivalent) and the transaction will deliver a 98% increase...

This is not correct EXCEPT the law changed this year.

Qualification date means you need to hold the stock in your portfolio by close of business on that day... smiley

I understand but also know that a journey of thousand miles begins with one step as they say. NAHCO started from somewhere and current price sounded the alarm as records show here. I have read all the pages here from page one to present and it took me two months. I saw a lot of transitions, agreements and disagreements. Even when Pa Emma spoke strongly against bua cement in favors of wapco many months ago but today Bua is still ahead of Wapco even after many years. So I understand. Unity Bank is negative but just wait for the suspension to be lifted and you will see plenty full bids

They did not just sell their shares in building. Femi Otedol (AP) was fighting Oando over the property.
But what do you say now about the new Oando building on Ozumba Mbadiwe?

My brother, this NAHCO you are mentioning now, some people who didn't like the stock denigrated it during that Covid-19 year. I remember how Meshpip kept promoting the stock but it was one of the stocks they used to chase him away from this forum.

Na from that stock matter dem use Ichimoku reason Meshpip matter in 2020. This was a time that stock was trading below NGN4, I think, for NGX market. We all can see where that NAHCO stock has landed as of today. πŸ™„

Bros, have you visited the power plant? When was it built, what is the present condition and who are the customers? Insider guy is telling us about plan for bonds listing by Oando which is good but more info is needed to make a better investing decision. It looks like you are an investor please share more info if possible to avoid living on hopeville. Your tenacity is encouraging, please keep it up.
Note: I do not have Oando due to bad experience and don't intend to buy for now.....may be in the future grin cool
My brother, the power plant is on ENI's website. It is an IPP called Okpai power plant. It is not a secret; it is well known to industry watchers in the power sector. Please google it and read. I don't have to visit what I can read and learn about online.
I am not an insider in Oando. But I can sincerely sense and appreciate potential value when I see one, especially in a turnaround upstream oil and gas company that is being compared with Seplat, Aradel, Total etc.
I am seeing a potential bright future for the company like some people, while some other people are seeing a terrible past full of disappointments! That's all about Oando.
