This girl should have been made to wait for the NEXT Miss Universe Nigeria beauty contest in 2025 so as to have her name and her family's name CLEARED from South Africa.

Ben Murray-Bruce and Guy Murray-Bruce haven't done their background checks on this girl's identity and real origins properly. Was her father [Michael Okechukwu "Adetshina"] who is from Enugu State and a member of Ohaneze Ndigbo in South Africa been properly investigated by the Murray-Bruces to know his real ethnic origins and how he got the fabricated name "Adetshina?"

The name "Adetshina" does NOT exist in the Yoruba language but ADESINA does. Letters "T" and "H" do not exist in ADESINA based on standard Yoruba spelling. This also applies to the names such as SADE (the shortened form of the name Folasade), OSOGBO, OGBOMOSO, OSUN, SOLA (the shortened form of Adesola or Olusola), which ALL do NOT contain the letter "H." For instance the iconic British-Nigerian award-winning musician, Folasade Adu (SADE ADU) who became the FIRST person of Nigerian descent to win a Grammy Award in 1986 uses the name "SADE" without any letter "H." Sade Adu was born in Ibadan, Nigeria, in 1959 to a Yoruba father who is ORIGINALLY from Ekiti State and a White English mother who was a district Nurse, who he met while he was studying at the prestigious London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in London back in the 1950s.

Enough RED FLAGS have been raised by folks who are very discerning from among those of South African and Nigerian descent (of Yoruba and non-Yoruba origins). The South Africans noticed RED FLAGS because she doesn't speak any South African language from ANY of the 11 ethnicities recognized in South Africa AND doesn't have a single South African or even Mozambican name in her FULL names.

Another RED FLAG is that out of all the full names she bears, [Chidimma and Onwe] are ethnic Ibo names. Her FULL names are Vanessa Chidimma Onwe "Adetshina." If her father is from the Yoruba ethnic group like some have been trying to portray and deflect others from exposing here, her father would have given her at LEAST 1 Yoruba name as is customary with all Yoruba father's who live around the world who have given Yoruba names to their children from mixed marriages or multicultural marriages they are involved in. Credible information from South Africa indicates that her father is a certain Michael Okechukwu "Adetshina" from Enugu State and he has been a member of Ohaneze Ndigbo, an Ibo sociocultural group in South Africa. So, he is NOT a Yoruba man from the Yoruba ethnic group of Nigeria with a population of over 55 million people worldwide (which is one of the 250 DISTINCT ethnic groups in Nigeria). So, you can CLEARLY guess how an Ibo man from Enugu State got the fabricated name of "Adetshina."

Some insidious online posters of Ibo origin on NL including this same NL thread and elsewhere on X, FB, and YouTube are now saying that Chidimma's Mozambican mother's name is "Adetshina" but there is NO Mozambican name whether male or female that is known as "Adetshina" after advanced investigations.

The South African Department of Home Affairs has unveiled a preliminary report based on their investigations and found out that Chidimma's supposed mother of Mozambican descent was involved in a case of IDENTITY THEFT in 2001 (which is the same year Chidimma was born) based on information in the South African Home Affairs data base and some South Africans have also been implicated to be part of the cartel selling South African citizenship to undeserving foreigners. If found guilty, all those connected with her family and the South Africans involved in the cartel will be arrested and tried in court based on existing South African laws.

I hope Ben and Guy know the FULL legal implications of what they are doing because the aftermath of them rushing head long in featuring this 23-year-old girl (whose mother and father are mired in a dodgy case of identity theft to obtain South African citizenship in 2001) will be dire for the image of their Miss Universe Nigeria pageant. Since the 1980s, I've known that Ben and Guy (who are of Scottish paternal and Nigerian maternal descent) are usually very thorough in what they do, including bringing some A-list American music stars to Nigeria for music concerts, but I have my very strong reservations over their actions in rushing to invite this girl whose family is still mired in a major identify theft controversy to take part in their beauty contestant. Period.

I dont 'think it works that way. There are only 25 Contestants out of 36 states. So it is not likely she took anyone's position

In as much as we are happy for her,
(She is a very pretty girl),
Unfortunately, this is a detriment for other young Nigerian aspiring models/up-coming beauty queens that have been preparing all their teenage lives for this pageant.
Obviously, the organisers will want Chidimma Adetshina to win at all cost to make a point to South Africa, (cos if she doesn't win, then another tantrums from SA will be huge saying,
You hear them saying things like 'she can't even win in her so call Nigeria bla bla bla...)
This is jeopardizing the main contestants in Nigeria 🇳🇬 that have been preparing for this pageant as well as the Ms Universe International beauty Pageant 😍.

I'm in Taraba right now and since I have been here I haven't seen any. I was in Borno and lot of Adamawa people are based there, there nothing that exceptional about them beauty wise. It obvious you haven't seen beauties before. Travel and see.
