Nigerians don de sell version 3 starlink in bulk for 1m.

Chai... People get hustle oh. How do they get these in bulk when it's not yet official in Nigeria by starlink itself.

Udatso said he didn't pay for 2 months and he wasn't cut off. Mine was due for a few hours before u renewed, but I wasn't cut off for those few hours.

They said its 17 days from when payment was due... so mine will be 12 aug to 28

I just checked my usage, I do not think I would have been able to do this with a Nigerian ISP.

Still not bad. Starlink has been extremely helpful to me, so I renew as soon as it is due

Hello guys.. So you all have UPS to avoid power cut during starlink updates..

Heard power cuts during updates could prove fatal to the starlink kit...

I have an inverter system currently, we all know how unreliable our Discos are if the mains are on.

What are your experiences please ?

I don’t have UPS, been working for almost 3 months.

Just asking again the question below.

Is anyone experiencing intermittent router rebooting?
I have reached out to Starlink with no response up till now.

Go into your app, click on Settings, scroll down for Advanced - click, click on Debug Data. In the status section there will be either a green dot or grey dot. Green will say No update available Grey will have Update available. During the night between 2-4 (depending) it will update and reboot.

If it is doing random reboots check your home wiring or purchase a UPS device as you're getting an electrical surge. Be aware they changed it from unplugging 3 times to 6 times for rebooting due to surges resetting Starlinks not on surge protectors.

This is a possible solution someone posted on Reddit. I hope it works for you.

Please do you know how can one activate residential in Lagos.

BadMaster:

It means that the hexagonal area has reached a set number of Starlink units activated, determined by Starlink. There can be quite a number of hexagonal areas in each state. You can see these areas on the Starlink map. Here's the link starlink.com/map.

States like Lagos, Abuja and Kano have mostly reached capacity. This only applies to the Standard/Residential plan. You can, however, bypass this restriction by subscribing to the more expensive mobile/roaming plan.

Since most parts of Lagos have reached capacity, you may have to opt in for the Business plan, which costs 50k per month. The Business plan is same with Residential plan, but with the first 40GB being priority data. It's more expensive though.

But first, make an attempt to onboard on the residential plan. If it tells you that your area has reached capacity, do not proceed to deposit. Simply onboard using the Business plan.

I hope you know the difference between downlink and download, Mbps and MBps?

Regarding speed, as long as there are no obstructions in the view of the dishy and installed, preferably, at the highest point in your location, there's really nothing much you can do to improve speed.

Make sure to split the 2.4/5.0Ghz frequencies. For devices close to the router, use the 5Ghz frequency, it's faster.

Do you mean to create a separate 2.4ghz network on the Starlink app?

Hmmm. I think you should open a support ticket and compain.. They will check it remotely and revert
Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by Ayomipoe(m): 9:19am On Aug 23
Could you check if you have a mast nearby?
You need to open a support ticket, they will tell you that you should take a picture of the Starlink where it is mounted and move it 10 meters away from the current position it is.

However, if you comply with all of the instructions they give and you still have the same issue, they might replace all of your equipment.
