I knew a slave would jump to his white master's defence typing irrelevant rubbish.

What has any of this nonsense you typed got to do with Russia facing new competition as a gas supplier to Europe?

The BBC aired an article in 2022 on the opportunity for African gas to help end European dependency on Putin's gas post-Ukraine war.

What? Your white superhuman god Putin is untroubled by this possibility because he has ''fertiliser factories, crude reserves''' or whatever nonsense you typed?

Ukraine crisis: Can Africa replace Russian gas supplies to Europe?

African countries are among those hoping to increase their exports of gas to the European Union, after the EU committed to reduce its reliance on Russian supplies following the invasion of Ukraine.

Russia's suspension of deliveries to Poland and Bulgaria over their refusal to pay in roubles, the Russian currency, was a stark reminder of the threat facing the Eurozone. Russia has the largest natural gas reserves in the world and is the largest exporter, accounting for around 40% of Europe's imports.

The EU wants to cut supplies by two-thirds by the end of the year and become independent of all its fossil fuels by 2030.

However, energy economist Carole Nakhle says that with the combined exports of Africa's big players in the industry - Algeria, Egypt and Nigeria - amounting to less than half of what Russia supplies to Europe, they are "unlikely at the moment to compensate for any losses in Russian supplies".

"The good news is there will be greater interest in countries that already have the resources to replace Russian gas and Africa is in a very good position. We're going to see more investment," she says.

NNPC runs into deficits from year to year. Last year was the only year since as far back as I've known GAZPROM, that it didn't make profit. These countries rake in $100BN in oil profits, whereas Nigeria can't even produce it's own tomatoes and peppers despite its vast oil reserves

Two, the nation is a bigger entity than Dangote and he can't dictate the pace and policy direction of the country. He has been doing it forever. This is where it stops

Three, refineries all over the world buy crude from so many sources. Dangote is free to go to Libya, Algeria, Malta, Iran to source his crude but the nation will no longer be subservient to him

What are you saying?.. when did you ever hear Saudi aramco bought crude from another country?.. Una go dey spit rubbish, dey think say Una get sense for head .

Go and learn to work on your comprehension skills. If you had commented that Nigeria would rival European dependence on Rurrias crude, you would have communicated aptly. You can't hold me responsible for your miseducation.

Allow me also school you since you still need some mentoring. The distance between Iran and Persian Gulf supplies and Nigeria is twice the distance, meaning that it costs 50% lesser, 50% faster to ship crude from the Persian Gulf than Nigeria. I know you Nigerians love wishful thinking alot, but do your research. In the international market space, Nigeria crude doesn't really attract buyers as it hasn't broken the ceiling quite right. If you however talk about rivalling Russia to sell refined Crude products, unlike Nigeria that accepts anything, has Dangote or any refinery been able to produce refined products that meets the standard of the European market on a steady basis ?

In fact we're already shaking the world.

But more to come.

See how Dangote Refinery is making the whole world tremble, especially Europe.

What will they say when we now complete our 35 billion dollar gas pipeline that is heading straight to Europe as we speak?

That will end Russia's status as the monopoly supplier to Europe, and triple our annual income.

We better go and start adding nuclear capability to our military.

Because I don't think Putin is finding all these moves by Nigeria funny at all.

If we know we can be serious let's be serious. This country has no business not being in the top 15 economies of the world.

Dangote is a quota system criminal who's only legacy is using contacts in government to steal from the nation and milk it dry. Can you or Emefiele or Dangote publicly declare all the dollars he got and loans he got in building his deliberately overly pricey refinery ?

1. Only a country led by madmen constructs a garguantan gas line to another continent when itself generates < 4,000 MW of electricty

Nigeria's problem is not gas availability for electricity. Her problem is first the transmission grid which is being fixed, and second, the question of affordability of the electricity for the poorest Nigerian.

2. Putin dgaf about your pipeline

How do you know that? Every rational seller, especially one who is a near-monopoly supplier will be VERY wary of new entrants into the market, and in extreme cases, will go all out to impede them. Go to school. This is basic Porters' Five Forces Analysis, which I'm sure is Greek to you.

3. The proposed gas pipeline will very likey never see the light of day

Your pessimism is irrelevant, and shows gross ignorance, for a project that is well under way, with billions of dollars already spent.
