But he was able to still save for the rainy day. The SUVs he bought he bought all for the deserving monarchs and he also patronised local dealer, innoson to boost his business and not patronise foreign dealers.
He never indebted the state or borrow to buy the SUVs for the monarchs and the country economy was booming then and not the ache we are experiencing today in our economy.
I am sure he wouldn't have tried that if it was now.

It may take some civil servants 100 years to afford a hajj slot. The assumption for elective offices is that majority of the people are making the best choice. I cant fault an SSCE holder finding himself in HoR or Senate.
The comparison is a lil bit off. How many professors have truly advanced the body of knowledge they are suppose to? Ask them to look inwards for extra revenue and you start hearing about pure water and bread factories as ideas.

The job of professors is not to help you generate ideas for business.
There are business and entrepreneur focused schools for that.

An average professor is a researcher not a business person.

As to pure water and bread business.
As long as it is profitable in the target environment, then it is appropriate.

Did he bought the Jeep when the economy was excruciating like this? He bought those Jeep when the economy was booming and afterwards he was able to save for the state. We are experiencing serious economy downturn, buying SUVs for those that have already makes no sense or renovating their office at ₦15b, when the same office was renovated less than 3 years ago. It makes no sense at all.

Nigerians the next protest that shall come up, take our protest to the houses of the senator and house of rep member shortchanging your constituency. They are the REAL CORRUPTION. We sent them all there to represent us but RATHER they go there to represent themselves, approve policies that make sure Nigerians remain in deep poverty and in reward share our money that is meant for development.
Hold every senator and house of rep during the next protest, take over their homes/businesses and make them face the protesters' Special Court of Arbitration there during the protest and be sentenced by the people in the public. Let these thief's know we don't want them anymore

If he were really different and not just another repackage typical Nigeria politician who is part of the rot, nothing stops him from instructing his LP assembly members to initiate cost cutting bills in the house and senate. Let it be rejected but let it be on record this is where you and your party stand not making noise on Twitter.

After all he is the leader of the LP and most of not all of those elected under LP owe their election to Obi.

You have a cogent point but you might not have known if he has told them to initiate such and they have not. You cannot say he is the leader of the party. It's quite different from a ruling party, that the president or governor will be the leader of the party. It's just like saying Atiku or Jonathan is the leader of PDP. Who doesn't know that governors and the power that be won't allow that to flow.
If you think Peter Obi can exercise powers to control members of the LP, you're deceiving yourself and there's no truth in you. But that doesn't take away your opinion that at least one of them suppose to initiate the move or bill to cut down cost.
Thankfully, you already know it won't fly but at least let it be in record that someone sponsor such bill but was killed.

In those boom days with ₦15,000 I stocked my store with food stuffs but today with ₦100,000 is as if I bought but nothing.
People may be crying but the level of poverty wasn't as much as we have now. There was relatively prosperity and people are saving well then. Today how many governor can save the huge amount Peter Obi saved then? Not possible because the purchasing power has increased triple if not more.

Peter Obi the hypocrite. Why not ask your own party members in the National Assembly to reject their pay and move a motion to have a public discussion on the Assembly pay with the sole aim of slashing this ungodly salary and emolument assigned by themselves to themselves.
