Rossikk: Industrialised, partly right... Developed, still far from it. Either ways, we're making progress but it needs to be faster... much faster... |

Zwooks: Most people are just sentimental and naive. They really don't get your point. South Korea hosts one of the largest refineries in the world and they source theor crude all over the world, Korea has no proven reserves of crude and the same with Singapore they have one of the largest refineries in the world and they have no crude. Again most people fail to realise that refineries of the scale of dangote in size are not designed to refine one particular grade of crude. Nigerian crude is known as sweet crude as it is sulfur free in content, but has low paraffin content, and as a result is suitable for production of PMS, AGO and Kerosene/Aviation fuel, but produces a low output for petrochemicals. It is Heavier crude blends like US Brent, North Sea, Arabian and Venezuelan crude that are suitable for petrochemical production. That being said I support your view that Dangote should in addition to sourcing for Nigerian crude, he can source crude anywhere as well, he should hold the country hostage because of that. 1 Like |

deenee: Definitely we are not expecting that, bit that is where Nigerian government if they care about the people will come in. This is where the subsidy will make sense and even be economical for the government. |

Believeintruth: Dangote wants the entire petroleum industry in his back pocket the same way he pocketed CBN and has used his quota system brothers to empty the nation of its foreign exchange. Nigerians are like you said quitessentially simply naive and sentimental Dangote refinery is a private investment and not a national project 2 Likes 1 Share |

Rossikk:Las las, you will hardly see changes in the standard of living of the masses in Nigeria. The naira to dollar conversion will also have no significant improvement because corruption is still there. |

Zwooks:to be fair, at 1914, they had little to no choice our real men were eliminated by the invading forces and the greedy ones took over, aligned with the foreigners and collectively ripped us a new hole |

Zwooks: He has met his match in Bobo Chicago. Dangote relied on military leaders like IBB,Abacha, OBJ and Buhari for far too long. And now facing the Lagos landlord who Bode George claimed suffers from an incurable mental illness Affluenza. Bode George: a sufferer of Affluenza “can never stop the craving for unnecessary endless accumulation of wealth. He does not know what is enough. He glorifies wealth in place of the Almighty God. This is the dreadful disease Tinubu is suffering from.” “With all these crazy and bewildering acquisitions , it is obvious that this Iragbiji upstart suffers from a disease called AFFLUENZA .” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fgbsp22VSPE 1 Like

Rossikk: But has the NNPC considered getting the refineries working, refining for local consumption and also exporting to other countries as a means of earning foreign exchange, especially other African countries around us, really don't know why our leaders only think of just stealing and not seeing how they could better the lives of its citizens |

Wat dangote is doing now is wat nigeria should have done 4o to 50yrs ago we should have been a G5 Nation by now..with excess cash a high standard of living and virtually eliminating poverty.. some some men decided to steal our common resources and stash in Switzerland Bank acct some men decided to steal...if u look at it now u realise those men were fools what's one person gain compared to what hundreds of million of Nigerian will gain look at Kuwait with the strongest currency in the world. This is pure witchcraft. |
Re: Nigeria Is Turning Into An Oil Market Juggernaut - Bloomberg by maasoap(m): 7:32am On Aug 17 |
Zwooks: You are nothing but an economic illiterate. Nigerians had been lamenting lack of just one working refinery over many decades, we saw it as a shame of the nation. Now we have one, not just one but one of the largest ones in the world! Suddenly, una don start your usual pull him down syndrome. May be we even deserve where we found ourselves as Nigerians today, so sad. |

Zwooks: To tackle inflation and reduce fuel prices effectively, it's crucial for NNPC to provide Dangote with the necessary crude oil and regulate the selling price to marketers. This should be a top priority for any responsible nation. |
