Mankind2024: Internationally companies pricing strategies. An importer will most likely pay an import tariff to break-in into a local market. Hence okay sometimes to compete internationally by reducing prices through marginal increase in production volume for export. With the Local market carrying more of the fixed cost of production and the foreign market products never priced below the variable cost of production. Simple economics of production where plant capacity to produce more can be exploited and other variables support the strategy. |

emmanuelewumi: Why do people sell their houses. 1. If the property was inherited and alot of people are the beneficiaries. Property could be sold and share the proceeds 2. Property is old and maintenance cost is about 30% and above of the expected rental income. In our case the lawyer gets 10% of the income, maintenance and repairs was 40% and above of the expected income and 20% of the tenants were not up-to-date with their rent 3. If there are better opportunities that are stress free, I discovered based on the rental income generated assuming all the tenants paid I could get 5 times of that from risk free fixed income investment based on the current market price of the property. 4. To harness liquidity in the market. 2023 was an election year, boys of the people in the ruling party had excess money for electioneering and campaign expenses which they later used to buy properties. The guy who bought the property is a politician and one of the boys of people in power. He even bought at N15 million premium over the asking price 5. I was at building control agency about 2 months ago. A family house was demolished because it was distressed, the family was expected to pay N5 million for the demolition. The family was not happy by the development and we're begging that the N5 million should be written off. I told the family to try as much as possible to get the N5 million and get possession of their property after which they could sell the land for N50 million. If they had sold before the property was marked for demolition they would have gotten better value from the disposal of the property 17 Likes 4 Shares |

What you should not do with the proceeds from the sale of a property. 1. Don't use it to buy a car 2. Don't use it to fund your vacation 3. Don't use it to pay rent or school fees. 4. Don't use it start a new business that you don't have experience managing. 5. In fact don't use it to upgrade your lifestyle Rather use it. 1. To buy cheaper property with growth potential 2. To complete your abandoned property 3. To expand your business 4. To buy cheap fundamentally sound stocks that are paying dividends 5. To buy other financial assets like mutual funds, FGN bond and Eurobond 25 Likes 5 Shares |

Many youths are good in making money until they got married when the financial struggles kept compounding-the rat race. Those who prefer reading, saving and investing over patronizing erection industry are more likely to join the wealthy class. 12 Likes 4 Shares |

emmanuelewumi: You can then use the return from the investments made to 1. Upgrade your lifestyle 2. Marry a second wife if that is your wish 3. Paint the town red 4. Change your car 5. Get that chieftaincy title 6. Go to Jerusalem or Mecca. 7. Have that vacation you been dreaming off 8. Pepper your enemies As much as possible make sure you don't touch the capital, rather you are growing and compounding it 23 Likes 3 Shares |
