Hello @bullstriker
I can't find where the "URGENT" is written on the first line on this web form?
Thank you.

My program is for mastersā€¦The university didnā€™t stateā€¦what the scholarship entails in details, but from my calculations, it covers both tuition and living expenses.

Please, can you share the link on Canadian student on scholarship.

You can search for international fee for masters in the school, deduct the tuition fee and leave the rest for living allowance. However you can check up the living allowance for the province for a single person, if what is left out is not up to the living expenses for the province you will have to provide for this balance or add a sponsor to your application. Your SOP must be detailed and explain all this

If your living allowance is enough, having 1-4million in your account will be nice. This is for flight and accomodations for first month

When did you apply boss? I remember you asked a question about SDM a few weeks ago.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by ehiremen2002: 6:58pm On Aug 16
I had a similar situation for my cousin. He got conditional admission for Medical device reprocessing, with condition he completed ICHS (Introduction to Canada Health system)

We paid the full tuition for the 3months ICHS and first sememster of MDR total of 13100 CAD.

HE started his classes from Nigeria online May 1st and he applied for his visa June 20 and now he just got request for his passport yesterday.

However his program was a one year diploma are compare to yours that is Master.

Statement of Purpose for Student Visa Application to IRCC

Applicant: xxxxxx
Sponsor:xxxx
Program: Certificate in Medical Device Reprocessing
Institution: Algonquin College
Start Date: Fall 2024

To the Visa Officer,

I am writing to express my intent and purpose for applying for a student visa to study in Canada.
My name is xxxx, and I am currently enrolled in the Certificate in Medical Device Reprocessing program at Algonquin College, starting in the Fall of 2024. This letter outlines my
educational background, the necessity of this program for my career goals, my financial preparedness, and my intention to return to Nigeria upon completion of my studies.

Educational Background and Current Studies

I am presently in my first year of the Science Laboratory Technology program at the University
of Benin (UNIBEN). In addition, I am enrolled in an online course through Algonquin College,
the Introduction to Canadian Healthcare System (ICHS), which began on May 6, 2024. This course is a prerequisite for my main program and is being pursued virtually from Nigeria.

Program and Career Objectives

The Certificate in Medical Device Reprocessing is crucial for my career aspirations in the healthcare sector. The specialized knowledge and skills gained from this program will enable me to contribute significantly to the medical field in Nigeria, particularly in ensuring the safety and
efficiency of medical devices used in our healthcare facilities. The training offered by Algonquin
College is recognized globally for its excellence, and I am confident it will provide me with the expertise needed to excel in this field.

Financial Preparedness

My studies are being fully sponsored by my uncle, Mr. xxxxx. He has already made a tuition deposit of CAD 13,100, covering the Introduction to Canadian Healthcare System course and the first semester of the Medical Device Reprocessing program. Additionally, I have uploaded all necessary proof of funds and affidavits, including:
ā€¢ Affidavit of relationship and sponsorship
ā€¢ My birth certificate.
ā€¢ My fatherā€™s birth certificate
ā€¢ My uncleā€™s birth certificate
ā€¢ My uncle's bank statements from Access Bank (both Naira and USD accounts) showing a balance of over NGN 90 million and USD 74,000 respectively.
ā€¢ My uncle's passport data page
ā€¢ Company documents of my uncle's business
These documents substantiate the financial stability and commitment of my sponsor towards my
education and living expenses in Canada. (Attached as proof_of_fund)

Family and Home Ties

My parents reside in Benin City, while I currently stay with my uncle in Lagos, who is my
financial sponsor. It is my firm intention to return to Nigeria after completing my studies. The advanced knowledge and skills I will acquire in Canada are essential for contributing to the healthcare system in Nigeria, and I am committed to bringing these benefits back to my home country.

Conclusion
In conclusion, I am highly motivated and fully prepared to undertake my studies at Algonquin
College. I believe that the education and experience I will gain in Canada will be invaluable to
my professional growth and future contributions to the medical field in Nigeria. I respectfully
request the approval of my student visa application, confident that I have demonstrated my
commitment to both my academic goals and my return to Nigeria upon completion of my
studies.

Thank you for considering my application. I am looking forward to the opportunity to study in
Canada and contribute to the field of medical device reprocessing.
Sincerely,

ehiremen2002:

Hi guys,

I just received my offer of admission to the MSc Data Science program at the University of Calgary Winter '25. However, the offer didnā€™t mention any funding, and the tuition is quite expensive (around $48k CAD). Itā€™s been less than 24 hours since I got the offer, and itā€™s not yet reflected in my portal, but I want to plan ahead. I believe Iā€™m eligible for at least one merit-based scholarship due to my strong undergraduate results and relevant work experience.

I would appreciate your input. Thanks

Good afternoon everyone,

Please how long do i need to wait before i can apply for a visit visa, we all know processing time is now 6 month.

My spouse will be going for a 2 years diploma course by September, can i apply for the visit visa by October?

Please has anyone done this before ? Pls share experience.

Thank you. šŸ™
October/November will be ideal. Know someone that got in January, did visit visa application for the family in February and was approved in July. But it all depends on how you put out your statement of purpose of visit to convince the VO that you that just entered a month ago is already requesting for your family to join you.

You can give it a go but it's risky. Wouldn't advise anyone to take that path cos Canada actually want strong demonstration that you are there to school and best way to demonstrate that is committing significant part of your tuition

Hello guys. How many days does it take for a decision after medicals is passed?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by MarksmanD: 2:34pm On Aug 17
There's no one standard to the way IRCC works. Even though we say Medical is like the last step before a decision, there are people whose upfront medical was updated as passed immediately and still had delay in their application. The best thing is just to be prayerful and keep faith.
