Don't mind them. 1.5m per month is nothing. Sometimes, public transport takes about ₦800k per month sef. A bottle of water 🍶now costs ₦50,000 and a good food now goes for ₦120k per plate 🍽.
Kingzjayzee:
50k for a bottle of water? Guy! Easy na!
Akalia:
Please don't be like this; don't say 1.5m per month salary isn't a big deal. People like me that earn a little over 200k(paltry sum in today's economy) could actually attain a sense of financial stability on a salary of 1.5m.
MODIFIED: It's funny how so many Nairalanders will so glaringly see a sarcastic post and can't decipher that it's a sarcasm. In fact, it's not funny; it's actually sad. That's not my problem; me I'll continue to use sarcasm anytime I deem it fit.

High paying job and you said from #150k in today's Nigeria? Well most jobs gotten now is through paddy paddy or using back door. Best is to be self employed and learn to earn online legitimately. Expired domain flipping is one of them. You can buy a domain for less than $10 and resell above $300. Personally, I've done this severally with proofs.

Not a hearsay as I currently do this for a living. Check one of my sales below. Google how to make money with expired domain names or visit this awareness thread to get started.; https://www.nairaland.com/4519087/how-rich-selling-expired-domain

Peace.

There is money also in sales, everything is not about connection in this country just have the potential.

I have worked in many companies without connection although I specialize in sales.

Infact I bought my first car by closing just one deal.

Just walk in to any company that specialize in what you know how to do best and tell them your success with proof.

Yes, go on Hot Nigerian Jobs and apply directly to potential employers or HR companies. I have seen jobs that pay 1 million per month on that site. Bros, 100 - 150k no be salary for this economy again.

However, make sure you have an attractive CV, detailing your relevant work experience, skills and accomplishments.

While writing your achievement/experience (in CV and cover letter), focus on numbers. Numbers trigger everyone, including you. For instance, if you are reading a job description, you are always eager to see the salary (numbers!). 😃😃😃

That's the same way your prospective employer will be compelled to contact you when you state that you grew the revenue of your former company from 500k to 5 million!

You are not qualified for every job. Tailor your CV in a way that it satisfies your area of speciality. Your CV and cover letter speak for you in your absence, so it has to be worth it. Get a professional to craft your CV and cover letter for you.

If you have no skills, go and get one and probably volunteer with a company to gain experience. These things help!

Google possible interview questions and know their answers. The moment you do this, the sky is your starting point.

Good luck

Well, different strokes for different folks.
I can only speak for myself. A salary of 1m and above to me is a big deal because a lot could turn around for me on such salary.

You can still get a job as high as 1 million plus a month depending on your professional background and experience.

150k is a very poor salary even 200k is nothing for a graduate in our economy of today.

We like to fool ourselves a lot. If we are to lay out all salary levels in Nigeria today, up to 80% would still be earning less than #150k yet some people are saying #400k is average salary. Where you wan see am?

This same naija where people with over 10 years experience are earning #250 - #300k with overwork.

Banks and the big 4 can only hire so many. If you earn above #150k, consider yourself earning well. The rest are just lucky to be in the right field and right company at the right time.

Hello I am curious. What is your idea of high paying jobs? High paying jobs are Job offer that pays above 150,000 naira.
Do people still get those kind of jobs nowadays

150k is not a high paying job in Nigeria now. It is a low paying job.

Unless the job is within a walking distance to my house, I will not take a ₦250k job right now.
