How this is not a red card is still a mystery to me

Remove Bournemouth please. Thy just spent around 40m on Evanilson. I don't see them paying another 30m for Nketiah unless they make another big sale.
.

They spent 31.7M.

The add on clause is not the easy to reach clause.

They still have over 33M.

Besides arsenal are willing to take staggered payment.

I'm talking based on footballing perspective.

Wolves sold 2 players with somegood returns

I really want him to stay. We need proper cover in CD. He can maybe deputise for Saliba
Yeah, he'll be a good option for Cb cover but I think it's a good option for Gabriel (as per Lb) than Saliba. But maybe Arteta sees Calafiori as someone who can deputize Gabu in case of any eventualities while Zinny/Timber plays Lb

I was shocked how ref or var didn't give this as a red card. He clearly looked and choked Havertz neck and the action was obvious. I'm certain if we're on the guilty end of this, we for collect red card.

Also, the Saka penalty claim, I still don't understand how it wasn't given. There was enough contact that impeded Saka's movement.

Make ref better catch their head this season oo
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by Jodera: 6:51pm On Aug 17
Started the game strongly but as the game wore on, we made so many wrong and rushed decisions. Saliba made some errors from the back while passing that almost led to goal, Zinny at a point was defensively suspect, Havertz was overdoing this due to, perhaps overconfidence, and so on. I believe it's first game of the season tho, with more game time we'll become sharper. Glad for the 3ptz and clean sheets.

Starboy for a reason. Quality cross to setup the first goal and a very good well taken shot.
I just hope this Havertz version of clinicality is not what we would see this season oo? Aside the goal header(which he took well) but It was disappointing to see how easily he fell off from that early minute chance and also the comical shot he took with In the early minute in the second half with his right foot.

Raya with an excellent game. Perhaps this season we'll get to see the best of Raya.

3pts, Clean sheets, +2 gd. A good start
Glad to see Arsenal once again

Aston Villa next. Let's go for all 3ptz

Coyg!!

Saka made it look like a dive bro.. That's why I said he should leave diving for those who Sabi do it. He did the same thing against Bayern last season.

Timber and Calafiori (yes) are technical but they can sometimes be overconfident. Timber almost cost us a clean sheet today. Arteta needs to call them to order.

Na why I like Ben White. Unless he is playing against Doku, baba no dey do unnecessary dribbling. Just the basic.. o pari

As for Gabriel Jesus and Raya, they better stop smoking.

He played mostly in RCB during preseason that's why I mentioned Saliba. He is the only backup candidate for Saliba

Arteta need to start reacting to fouls in the box18
Not the one they will foul him and he respond after 2 seconds
Same thing he did against Bayern last season
And we also need to be ruthless now especially tricking referees
I remember city players like kdb and haaland will be rolling on the floor if games get out of hand for them
They win penalties with such dubious tactics we need to adopt it too
If them kick us we should pretend to be dead🤣🤣

That wasn't a penalty. The defender simply threw himself on the ground before saka could cut back

Yeah he dived but that contact is very very enough to make someone go to the ground.

At least this is very different from that Bayerns own were saka just amateurishly dived into Neuer's leg.

Anyways it's passed Sha but I won't rule out if tables were turned, we might feel the opposite of what happened

I don't see any fault about Raya for today's game sha. Infact, I feel he was really outstanding today.

Timber was pretty overconfident and it nearly cost us. Na Gj own pain me pass. My guy sweetly spinned away from his marker, beat one player, instead of him to pass forward, he dribbled back and passed backwards, 3 seconds later, ball is with Raya. Omorr, e just weak me.

But it's first match of the season sha, they're just growing sharpness. Most players didn't really look sharp for 90mins so with more game time I believe they'll get it.

Just glad for the 3pts

I've been noticing Raya's poor distribution since that match against Leverkusen. Yesterday, Gabriel had the ball under control only for Raya to emerge and boot the ball back upfield. And guess what, no Arsenal player was there. Make all of them calm down o

Oh yeah, I remember that scenario, it was when we were been pressured in the 2nd half.

All of them will calm down Sha as time goes on

What a shame, Duberry can’t even make Brighton’s bench yesterday, and now he's been linked to a loan move to Championship sides. Another one that left and is now back on the exact path he could’ve had at Arsenal

The thing even shock me when I saw it now.

Some Resident fans were saying he'll start for Brighton after he scored in their preseason and we're taking digs at Arteta.

Now same Brighton didn't even see him as a squad player in their team. It's so sad
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by Jodera: 1:59pm On Aug 18
Throughout last season and prior, it was "Arteta is not giving these guys chance like under Wenger which is arsenal's way"

That has always been the argument and Contention here

But

Just under a month, it's now "Arsenal are now allowing our youths players to go for free and we're not gaining anything"

And some resident fans are making it seem as if the latter have been the major debate here concerning our youth system policy

When have we even turned a youth selling club that brings money like Chelsea which is even popular for that?
But then, not like most it would even have debated it if it came to bringing money to the club. But people must just wan feel say Dem must dey right sha

But don't worry I won't broach this matter further cos like a famous nairaland moniker always say "we all know what we're doing".

When they don't have nothing to hold on to
They fabricate lies, if we ask for receipts where we said duberry will start for Brighton
They will be foaming in the mouth
