What about 6?

credible advice is to avoid first gen phones
The 6 series is even worse with regards to connectivity and heating issues

You just keep spewing thrash.

You are not a first hand user, neither have you experienced what you are so confident about.

You read certain user complaints and generalise,

Everything you have been posting on this thread are all BLANTANT LIES!!!

Fair enough
My advice is that you speak only about your own experience tho

Good Day Everyone. To the Pixel 6 series users here, what are the pros and cons of the phone? With specifics on speed, camera and internet connectivity. Thank you for your input

Yes,when the pixel 6 first came out,it was plagued with bugs,

But software updates over the years has made it one of the most stable pixel device till date,

First hand user experience here.

6/6 pro are one of the best old pixel devices to get right now.

Speed is perfect
Camera is awesome.
Internet connectivity is great, even though it does not show 5G signal, speed is good.

Buy 8
7 series has connectivity/heating issues

Yet again lies again,

What are the connectivity issues?

Slow internet, drop calls? Network signal loss?

Kindly indicate.

I am currently using 3 generations of pixel devices side by side

So please state exactly what is connectivity issue?

Like I said, you read exactly that word on some forum and generalized.

As regards heat,I can't tell the last time a pixel device got so unbearably hot while using, yes esp the pixel 6 series,I have 6 and 6a currently, just disposed off the 6 pro, very balanced device

It is a well known fact Google tensor is not the best gaming chipset,
So expect it to get warm a bit when you run high graphics demanding games,
Even the Snapdragons built for such still heats up.

You sell these devices
But these issues are well documented
Even on this platform people have reported issues
Granted it might not be the same for every person

I'm using 6 pro it's a dope phone all rounder, best smart phone I've ever used.

I use a rugged case, can't really know if it gets hot and I'm always using WiFi.

The software is really smooth and snappy

Camera one of the best out there

It charges really slow and does not show 5G connectivity.

Pixel 6 series is what i recommend any one to get and it's quite affordable too

I knew the talk would come back to I sell the devices,

But in reality,

Have you ever used any of these devices?

Are you using any at the moment?

That's the way you lots keep spreading false information about brands.

Face me with facts, only if you are an end user.

Just came in to see the massive tussle going on here.. If you go to GSM arena and read reviews of phone from oyibo users, my brother you won't buy that phone, All am after is a phone that can last a day, with very good camera.. I initially wanted to get the pixel 5 but it didn't feel like a good upgrade from poco m4 pro 4g. So I will be getting the pixel 6 since am not a heavy user I believe it will sure deliver.

He sells the phone to me and the phone didn't serve well.. I will drag him here and he loses credibility.. I don't think he will want to make mistakes with his business.

Everything you have been saying are not correct, nothing like heating issue or connectivity issues, the pixel series from 6 till date are awesome and perfect.

The only device i have issues with that pixel produce is the pixel 5a, but still no brand is perfect, iPhone has their own too in the iPhone 6 plus, Samsung has their own in some of their A series.
If you say pixel heats up, oga go nd try Samsung and you will know that pixel no dey heat anything.

Even gaming phones, when used heavily to some point will produce massive heat.
Phones are produced with ICs and Electrical Engineering taught us that ICs produce heat, so please don't come here and be spitting out what you don't know.

Don't conclude on a phone based on reviews you see online

I think if that guy mean "heating" while charging and using it for tasks like streaming or watching movies with Data turned on, he's correct, however I think the only time I've gotten the notification that my device is heating up was when I left it outside directly under the sun and I was making WhatsApp video call with it. Which in my opinion is justified because if I keep a dead phone under the scorching sun for 1 hour, e go soften ube (pear) grin

None of them will work with 5G.
They have the hardware but compatibility issues for our region. However the LTE is fastttt.

I use the 8pro currently.
I used the pixel 6, 6pro, 7, 7pro at different points.
I'd say the pixel 8 series fixed the few gripes I had with the previous generations. Better build quality and quality control. Slightly faster charging (I'm spoiled with OnePlus12 crazy charging speeds so everything is slower in my eyes), better network signal and less phone warmth while idle. It actually stays cool.

If you can afford it, go with the 8 series. I had a few colleagues have screen bleeding issues with their 7 few months after purchase brand new. I didn't have that with mine though when I used the 7 and 7 pro, it might be the batch they bought but I'd be careful with that one.

Please recommend which one to pick between Pixel 7 & 7 pro. I don't know which to pick.

Will any of both phones also work with 5g in naija?

The guy saying the Pixel 6 and 6pro had network related issues and heating issues isn't necessarily wrong. They had a nack for getting warm even in idle state and the signal strength wasn't the strongest.
I honestly used both phones in 2022 and yes they did have those issues but Google always finds a way to fix things with software updates so it's possible it's been fixed now.
Also pixels were notorious for having quality control issues then so it's possible the units I bought and the one he got as well might have been a select few with those issues.
