@Pa Emma and Sir Agba, what are your final individual or personal opinions on the current rights issues by Nigerian banks? I personally believe that the rights issue is forceful, ill-timed, and poses a potential grave danger for banking stocks. Some of the anticipated concerns and dangers include:
- Dilution effects
- Over-concentration of banking stocks in the hands of elites
- Liquidity risk
- Low patronage of the NGX by foreign portfolio investors.
I would appreciate your thoughts on this matter.

I am not buying. I expect the price of banking stocks to crash by first quarter of 2025.

I will then buy on the floor.

Banks will still do well and are currently cheap but can be cheaper.

My opinion though

You can then use the return from the investments made to

1. Upgrade your lifestyle
2. Marry a second wife if that is your wish
3. Paint the town red
4. Change your car
5. Get that chieftaincy title
6. Go to Jerusalem or Mecca.
7. Have that vacation you been dreaming off
8. Pepper your enemies

As much as possible make sure you don't touch the capital, rather you are growing and compounding it

That information is not correct. An insider told me they will overcome their forex loss challenge in short term. Plus they are currently expanding their Shagamu factory.

I strongly believe they will survive the forex loss tide as DS, MTN and PZ all will.

MTN is not going anywhere. This is their biggest market.

Is this price achievable? Only Mr Time will answer this

A look at the shareholders structure will speak volumes on why this is not likely to happen. Even if the eps is sub zero for years.

Hearing Nestle want to leave Nigeria

A company wherein their parent company wants to use the foreign exchange issue to bring in funds at a cheaper rate to increase their holdings in Nestle Nigeria PLC.

Any wise parent company who sees the future will use this opportunity to bring in funds at a favourable rate that will increase their local currency value and subsequently their holdings locally.

This is just like saying MTN or Standard Bank wants to leave Nigeria. Where dem wan go?

VERITAS KAPITAL ASSURANCE RALLY MAY FAKE-OUT
Strong price rally not supported buy appropriate equal buying and selling pressure will likely not last. It's either the price fall or the imbalance between buying/selling pressure readjusted. Which of the 2 will VERITAS will opt for? Next week trading will show.

NOTE: Post on VERITASKAP is not to cause any panic selling, but rather to show that in case there is a pullback, there is a buying opportunity.

The Power of Financial Panpsychism: A Personal Experience.
Panpsychism is the belief that everything has a mind or consciousness. My experience with financial panpsychism is deeply personal.
Many years ago, while studying at the University of Lagos, I struggled to pay a school fee of less than N1,000. My elder sister, the breadwinner at the time, helped me out. She said, "Iwo omo yii, mi o ni owo, owo po ni owo mi" ("My brother, I'm broke and financially handicapped"wink. I reassured her, "Don't worry, I'll pay you back in dollars." This was my ultimate goal after graduating, but I never left the shores of Nigeria despite the opportunity, as I wanted to be my own boss.
In 2011, I opened a domiciliary account, driven by an unexplainable desire for US dollars. I started buying dollars on the black market, even though I didn't have a primary reason for doing so.
Recently, in June 2024, I accidentally sent N2 million to my sister's account, intending to transfer it to my brokerage account. She was speechless when I told her it was for the rest of the year family upkeep and maintenance.
I had promised her dollars years ago and also fulfilled that promise by giving her an additional $1,500. on 14th August. She was thankful, and I felt the power of positive thinking and confession in action.
My only challenge with my siblings is their belief in giving 10% of every money I give them to their churches. I'm not a fan of contributing my hard-earned money to the lavish lifestyle of religious leaders. I always add a caveat to the transfer: "STRICTLY FOR YOUR UPKEEP, NOT FOR CHURCHES."
I believe in God and trust in His omnipotence, but I don't attend church. I see my heart as the pure temple of Christ. I believe Nigeria's reliance on prayer camps during business and active working hours, instead of taking action, hinders the country's progress.
