Mankind2024:
The Power of Financial Panpsychism: A Personal Experience.
Panpsychism is the belief that everything has a mind or consciousness. My experience with financial panpsychism is deeply personal.
Many years ago, while studying at the University of Lagos, I struggled to pay a school fee of less than N1,000. My elder sister, the breadwinner at the time, helped me out. She said, "Iwo omo yii, mi o ni owo, owo po ni owo mi" ("My brother, I'm broke and financially handicapped"wink. I reassured her, "Don't worry, I'll pay you back in dollars." This was my ultimate goal after graduating, but I never left the shores of Nigeria despite the opportunity, as I wanted to be my own boss.
In 2011, I opened a domiciliary account, driven by an unexplainable desire for US dollars. I started buying dollars on the black market, even though I didn't have a primary reason for doing so.
Recently, in June 2024, I accidentally sent N2 million to my sister's account, intending to transfer it to my brokerage account. She was speechless when I told her it was for the rest of the year family upkeep and maintenance.
I had promised her dollars years ago and also fulfilled that promise by giving her an additional $1,500. on 14th August. She was thankful, and I felt the power of positive thinking and confession in action.
My only challenge with my siblings is their belief in giving 10% of every money I give them to their churches. I'm not a fan of contributing my hard-earned money to the lavish lifestyle of religious leaders. I always add a caveat to the transfer: "STRICTLY FOR YOUR UPKEEP, NOT FOR CHURCHES."
I believe in God and trust in His omnipotence, but I don't attend church. I see my heart as the pure temple of Christ. I believe Nigeria's reliance on prayer camps during business and active working hours, instead of taking action, hinders the country's progress.

With all due respect don't bring religion into this honorable thread as that will bring out a lot of emotions...

Absolutely unnecessary.....especially considering the difference in age you have just been informed!!!

Noted sir! And on this note I withdraw any words or words that seems improper to him as an elder.

I only attacked his initial post that birthed all these, because that post was made in bad faith and from selfishness and being inconsiderate. A business should have a principle and humanity otherwise it is a cardinal sin according to Mahatma Gandhi.

Any person that wants to act without considering others doesn't deserve his own emotion or interest to be considered ( law of retribution)

This place is special community that we all hope will outlive each of us and remember the young shall grow. Pa Emma, OGG , Current Price, Mcy etc hold the high table today but tomorrow another set of younger people that will hand over to another even younger will take over and I pray and I hope to be among those tomorrow people that will hold here for the next set. In all, consider the other person in whatever you are doing otherwise it could end in chaos and anarchy.

So on this, I say SORRY to Streetinvestor if I use an unconventional or untowards words on him.

Happy Sunday and greet your son for me grin

please note that investment one will not ask for cash to open an account, it's free. Be in touch if you need more clarification.

Dear Emma, I took my time to look at the offerings of a few trading platforms. I finally decided to settle for Stanbic IBTC funds. I prefer their offerings as I am not keen on daily trades. Don't you think that the main issue around Transcorp is the share consolidation? There seems to be a strong support at 10, which maybe the target price of the company or the market, so the post consolidation price will be 40 at the proposed 1:4. Consequently an appreciable upward rise from 10 could be difficult.

What you should not do with the proceeds from the sale of a property.

1. Don't use it to buy a car
2. Don't use it to fund your vacation
3. Don't use it to pay rent or school fees.
4. Don't use it start a new business that you don't have experience managing.
5. In fact don't use it to upgrade your lifestyle

Rather use it.

1. To buy cheaper property with growth potential
2. To complete your abandoned property
3. To expand your business
4. To buy cheap fundamentally sound stocks that are paying dividends
5. To buy other financial assets like mutual funds, FGN bond and Eurobond

Thank you for this. You are an investment Colossus grin

But one can still use it to buy CAR if he want to use the car for UBER OR BOLT or if his job's earning ( eg law or doctor or land agent grin) grin will improve by the present of car.
I hope I am right with this toddler sense grin

Save money and buy your car or get a loan to buy your.

The proceeds from such sale should be "Heritage Fund"...

One of my cousins bought 4 cars from his own share for Uber even though I advised him against it. He is now full of regrets. His saving grace was the balance he invested in Money Market Fund

You can buy a car from the return on investment from the Heritage fund

Thanks for your concern. Analysis didn't consider any share consolidation. The chart will be adjusted for any future share adjustment. For now, the support level is between 10 and 10.75 (check my last week Tuesday's post for details).

Transcorp's 2023 Free Cash Flow to Equity (FCFE) per share was 0.93 (please do ur own calc. here), and they are paying out 0.2 as dividends. It's important to note that FCFE represents the free cash available to shareholders after all expenses and reinvestment needs have been met.

When I plugged the 0.93 FCFE into my Monte Carlo simulation, it produced a valuation range of 11.98 to 24.13. Based on this FCFE analysis and discounted valuation, I believe the stock is undervalued.

I would target a mean of 17 naira. wink

TA is a game of PROBABILITY so am going to give reasons on the chart/wave analysis for and against a bullish continuation from current price level.
Our duty is to look for POSSIBILITIES within the context of these probabilities.

Reasons for:
Above the area you highlighted, precisely the ZONE btw the previous SH before the strong impulsive move in June that lead to a BoS is where you have the BS IMB (SS inefficiency/FVG), and PV action may have already tapped into it.
How?
Since the pullback and corrective wave from the high in early July (the point where you have your upper fractal), price has retraced to sweep part of the liquidity around the aforementioned zone, effectively converting that weekly candlestick low to the new ELA and defining it as the new OB. (up from the OB in your highlighted region)

To lend further credence to the bullish bias is last week's candlestick behavior which retraced (pullback on the DTF) to ensure that there's no BS IMB on the WTF.

Again, expanding on DTFS shows that PA favours a bullish stance.

Reasons against;
There's a bearish divergence on the WTF with price failing to mirror the buy-side sentiment that birthed the new high on the RSI/%R.
The drawback to this is that the indicator is still above it's based MA and it's MA above the MBZ, so next weeks PA (open/close) will help validate the divergence, especially if the RSI pushes below the MBZ.

PV activity shows a gap up above a FVG on the DTF, thus, creating the prob of a retracement to cover that BS IMB and possibly reproduce a DB before a bullish continuation.

There's more in favour and less against but I don't want to put up what might seem a bit of a complex chat.
As I said before, our duty is to look for POSSIBILITIES within the context of these probabilities. wink cheesy cool

...still a long term hold though!

CAVEAT: Just the usual chart analysis... NOT an investment advice. Due diligence still applies as always.

Thank you for your thoughtful comment. I understand your concern about avoiding sensitive topics and focusing on the primary goal of this forum, which is financial growth. I appreciate your emphasis on maintaining a respectful and constructive discussion environment.
In my article, I aimed to share my personal experience with financial panpsychism and how it has influenced my financial journey. While I understand that religion can be a sensitive topic, my intention was not to provoke emotions or divert the focus from financial discussions.
I agree that personal beliefs should be respected and not imposed on others. I'll keep this in mind for future contributions and strive to maintain a balance between sharing my experiences and adhering to the forum's primary objectives.
Thank you for your understanding, and I look forward to continuing the financial discussions.
I would be delighted to learn about how Megawealth01 and Streetinvestor2 amassed their eight-figure net worth and fortunes on the NGX. 😆 😆 😆.

I haven't heard of the price reduction or seen the details, and MCY56 has not reported on it yet. Could you explain why this is happening?

In my opinion, liquidation by split or placement typically results in a price drop. In this case, the opposite is likely to occur. The effect should cause an upward move instead, as fewer shares will now be available in the market. It doesn't seem to matter whether the reduction happens at 10, 12, or even 17; what should matter is the ratio of the reduction.
