Apart from keeping pests away from my home, I want to know other benefits of keeping cats within the home as pet.

You can also keep them as emergency food, Also if u have lots of it at home in the village, ur neighbours will be scared of approaching you

Cats are the best pet to keep, they're cleaner than most humans.

ADVANTAGES
1. It scares away rodents & the likes (snakes, rat and geckos)

2. In Yoruba folklore it is believed that, if your cat is avoiding you especially when you are sick; just prepare your will and departing speech. Because it is believed that cat will avoid you when death lurks around.

3. It is believed that when you're sick and your cat find your side the best place to be at all times, rubbing his body on yours, you are likely to get well soon because as it is rubbing you with his body he is taking away the sickness from you.


DISADVANTAGES
1. It is easily possessed my Super Eagles. (You know super eagles wey dey fly for night btw 1 to 4 am)


2. The sound of cats are always scary, especially those ones that cry like human baby at night.


3. Finally, the scary eyes at night can give your baby nightmare



4. Go back to the disadvantage I mentioned in number one, because that is the main reason why many people don't keep cat as pet. (myself included)

Some cats are nice and useful.
