emkz: While it seems criticisms of the president are apt, certain facts must be cleared.
Presidential transportation worldwide is a serious security matter. In our case, air transport of the president is handled by the Nigerian Airforce. If the airforce says a jet is unfit to fly the president because it might have stayed in service longer than specified, hence a potential aviation threat, it is only fair that we listen to them. We do not need to like them.
Those suggesting that the president must fly commercial or use his personal vehicles (like Deji Adeyanju) are not aware of the potential security threats. A Nigerian head of state was assassinated in broad daylight in his official car, while another one was murdered for not taking their security serious.
The aircraft here does not belong to Tinubu. It belongs to the Federal Government. Once Tinubu leaves power, he won't take the jet with him. So those accusing Tinubu of purchasing a private jet for himself are being ludicrous.
Yesterday, Charly Boy lied that the president's official car, Cardilac Escalade is worth almost 1 billion naira. A simple internet search showed that the vehicle is about 250 million naira. Still expensive, why did Charly Boy have to lie? When Buhari exited power, he didn't leave with the Maybach. The vehicle was not his. The Cardilac does not belong to Tinubu. DSS handles his ground transportation. Why not question DSS for proposing that vehicle?
And for those who are just realizing, the Cardilac Escalade SUV had been in use since last year and sighted several times in the convoy, how come they are just seeing it? The vice president is driven in one of such vehicles. How come they have not seen it?
Anyway, Kenneth Okonkwo says people are dying of hunger and there is no fuel or electricity. It is not Tinubu's job to cultivate arable land nationwide. It is not Tinubu's job to provide buses to transport people within states. These are things state governors can easily undertake on their own, and even local governments. We have seen the Niger State governor buy such buses. Once the burden of transportation is removed, the issue of fuel price would not bother so many.
The fact is that the president is being blamed for policies, but all presidential candidates agreed that subsidy on petrol needed to be removed. Even the messianic pontiff said he'd remove it on day 1. Suddenly, Tinubu is being condemned for taking the decision to save us from economic doom. It didn't make sense that we were borrowing to pay subsidies. Also, the removal of the parallel trade of fx was to tackle the fx fraud that drained our resources.
This meant that increased allocation could be used for developmental purposes in the states. What do the state governors do instead? We find them doing Hajj subsidies and Ramadan feeding, purchasing vehicles for traditional rulers, buying wheelbarrows to turn their unemployed youth to mai-barrow in the markets, and stacking funds for elections they are not sure of living to partake in.
Dear governors, learn one basic thing: from what happened in Kano during the August riots, when people take to the streets, they'd target governors first and they can only move up the ladder once they have brought you down.
You still have time to work for your people and address the basic problems of food security and transportation within your state. We shall criticize the president for the things we must criticize him on. You started well but as most who overspeak tend to do, you shot yourself in the foot. The argument that hard policies had to be taken to stave off impending doom is sorely undermined when members of the government indulge in excessive and avoidable spending such as procuring SUVs and new airplanes. Could he have procured a cheaper one? Could he have leased a plane for the time being - in view of the economic hardship that caused him to create other unfavorable policies? Is it only the masses who must make these sacrifices? These are the questions. 8 Likes |

You still have time to work for your people and address the basic problems of food security and transportation within your state. We shall criticize the president for the things we must criticize him on. I get your point but saying that the presidential jet is unfit is actually a lie from the presidency courtesy of Onanuga. The real thing is actually security wise due to the inherent nature of the jets in the presidential fleet. The largest jet in the presidential fleet is a Boeing 737 which is suitable more for short haul flights without refueling stops. The implication is going beyond Africa will necessitate fuel stops along the way, now if you stop in a country where they are bilaterally good with Nigeria, but at the same time bilaterally good with countries we are not friendly with. This has serious security implications meaning it is easy to track the movements of the president. A case in point was in fact when Niger closed their airspace this showed clearly inherent vulnerabilities in the presidential fleet. On the Cardillac. A non bullet proof version is around 250m let us quit the lies. I know for one Bullet proof versions will be more expensive and also note that since it is for the presidency, it will be custom made to specifications so that will also add to the cost. So Charly Boy was not far from the truth on the cost of the Cardillac. 2 Likes |

Before you claim charley Boy lied, go and check how much Nigerian government wrote they spent on that vehicle. Looks like you are a kid. Ever wondered why the govt didnt counter his lie may be by releasing the purchasing reciept or the allocation for that car? 2 Likes 1 Share |

emkz: While it seems criticisms of the president are apt, certain facts must be cleared.
Like I asked: is it the president's job to cultivate lands held by state governors and handle intra-state transportation?
Is it his job to provide water for states? I mean, how hard is it to sink boreholes in states?
You can criticize the president on many things, but many of you forget you have state governors.
You are lax in your criticism. That is why you are being taken for a ride. Since tou are parhetically delusional, it is job of the president to ensure all local refineries by now should be up and doing to help cushion the effect of subsidy and pressure on naira. It is the job of the president to ensure our local refineries get constant supply of crude oil and are sold to them in Naira effective immediately. It is the job of the president toennsure farm lands all over the nation are safe and secure so that farmers can return to their farms without fear or any encumbrance. You do not need to throw shots at Peter Obi for your point to make sense.. it just shows your ill will towards PO is biased...PO said he will remove yes! Did he say he will do that without putting machineries on ground before removal, and besides he said he will remove it in phases..no where did he say on the first day he will remove it!!!
please this guys are all politicians...don't support any of them blindly because of whatever sentiments..
Your statement is valid on a lot of reasoning no doubt, but despite your indirect presidential appraisal, you forgot to also indict him for his lack of forthwith communication and transparency on certain sensitive issues, like the removal of fuel subsidy .. if this is how PBAT wants to run Nigeria, then am sorry it doesn't bode well for me and you and our children's future.. I was quite disappointed with the lack of communication with the horde of presidential aides. At a point, I had to lobby here for Bayo Onanuga, and he was appointed within two days. I am not taking credit for that, but to tell you that I made efforts on my own to fill up the lacuna in information management. I am also not Bayo Onanuga. The issue is that when there is no communication, there is a vacuum and people fill up those vacuums with what they like. I am independent and was not commissioned by anyone. I am also not known to those in power. Maybe they read what I write sometimes. The former candidate you mentioned did say he'd remove subsidy immediately. Check the following videos: https://x.com/kcemenike/status/1825636436197970030/mediaViewer?currentTweet=1825636436197970030¤tTweetUser=kcemenikehttps://youtu.be/lrgp1pMZNSw?feature=sharedHere was when I made a case for Bayo Onanuga on the 11th of October 2023. emkz: Notice that Peter Obi never referred to President Tinubu as "President".
If Peter Obi does not accept Tinubu as President, then why does he expect President Tinubu to do what he wants?
He calls on Tinubu to come out and tell Nigerians his real name, date of birth, schools he attended, and where he did his youth service.
But in the unlikely event Tinubu does this, will Peter Obi's mob believe it? He has told us he attended CSU, and the school has confirmed same. They chose not to believe.
Why are they now doubting all David Hundeyin's fabrications?
I now address the President's media team led by Chief Ajuri Ngelale. I know Ajuri's people are reading, and this is useful because it concerns the image of the President.
Ajuri, you people have allowed the Office of the President to be commonized by election losers. Since 1999, no one born of a woman insulted the CinC the way these election losers are doing. Therefore, it is time to ACT! It is time to clip the wings of the opposition. If you think these evil mob leader and his master Atiku would stop, they won't! It is time to start a sustained media attack on Peter Obi and Atiku.
Atiku has a lot of corruption materials in the public domain, especially using his ex-wife, Jennifer Douglas to launder money into the United States from Nigeria. There is a whole report on that. There was also a US Senator sent to jail for Atiku's activities. Remind Nigerians of that report. Also his activities in the sale of FG assets should be released.
As for Peter Obi, he is already a celebrated failure. Release details of his Pandora dealings to the public.
Ajuri, you are too gentle for the job. Therefore, get FFK and Bayo Onanuga and let them face Atiku and Obi.
President Bola Tinubu GCFR, cannot be defenseless against Atiku and Obi. He was a man of courage, but now he is demonstrating needless weakness that may ruin his administration.
Let us forget about 2027 for now. Even if Bola Tinubu sits as President for one week, you guys MUST MAKE IT COUNT!!!
It is time to bring down Atiku and Obi; they don't mean well for the country. They just want to rule. |
