This visit to France is for what exactly? The $17 billion India investment neva show up till now. Na France investment we dey pursue. Where buhari yuan for naira swap that apc made so much noise about

This is actually still working, it's just Nigeria imports SOOO much from China that the effect is almost negligible compared to what china imports from Nigeria( very meagre), This doesn't even take into account the majority useless loans government keeps collecting from china

It is not a personal property.

Future President's will use it.

A Nigerian President needs to be able to fly in a plane owned by Nigeria as and when needed.

People who say the prime ministers of some countries in Europe use commercial planes. Yes, but those countries airports and airlines are very well connected to other countries.

Nigeria airlines don't fly to many countries. I think Airpeace only flies to the UK.

So, what if Nigeria's President needs to travel to France, USA, Brazil etc? He should fly Air France, or United Airlines? What if those airlines are not available on the day he needs to fly?

Because the price of beans and garri is high, Nigeria should not buy an aeroplane? I disagree.

The Nigerian government can do both - buy the plane and continue to work to make life easier for citizens.

He should buy three more sef since na to travel upandan una select am for

Re: Bayo Onanuga Unveils New Presidential Jet, Keeps Mum On Cost (Photos) by Believeintruth: 7:06am On Aug 20
I think I see rationale behind the new jet. In the presidential fleet, the largest plane is a Boeing 737 and it is only suitable for short haul flights. Meaning for travels beyond Africa, he may need to stop in a country for refueling in some cases may be a security risk.
Also the shutting down of the Niger airspace really exposed some vulnerabilities inherent in the presidential fleet using a Boeing 737 especially stopping for refueling in a country that is friendly with a country you just sanctioned, could open you up to attacks. An A330 is in the same class with a Boeing 787 as they can be used for long haul flights from point to point without the need for refueling stops.

The real issue here is the presidency if he wants his image laundered well should sack Bayo Onanuga, as he is even causing more damage to the presidency. I remember the last time when the debate was heating up on the purchase of this jet, his response was so pedestrian as in "do you want the president to die in a crash" that was his response.

Clearly it was security considerations that pushed them to purchase the jet, but they should try to be more transparent with the general public.

That is where you miss it.
A country can use a commercial airline as a flag carrier. In places where the airline doesn't fly to, you charter the whole plane and there's diplomatic immunity to it. Say air peace doesn't fly to France, you charter the plane for that period.
Secondly, the Vatican use air Italia to fly the pope on all route he wants to go to.

Baba why not sell the old one first before purchasing a new one bdw why didn't he disclose the details of the purchase seen its public fun and other presidents will use it as well. I don't know why you people keep defending nonsense and still use your hypocritical hands to type nonsense about another presidential candidate.

Stop typing shit, he can fly on a charted airline, eg

He can use airpeace plane for movement, can use the military plane or other ones, how do the other citizens get to other countries.. they could have sold the other planes to raise money for a brand new one instead of adding to the fleet

The Nigerian president of extreme poverty paupers whose homes don't have pipe borne water and no toilet hence the regular cholera outbreaks in this 21st century?

Did you also sniff what Tinubu paid $460,000 to settle with the US authorities

The lack of state-owned pipe-borne water in the homes of Lagos residents has continued to be a source of concern, a non-profit group, Corporate Accountability and Public Advocacy Africa (CAPPA) has said.

At a press event to mark this year’s World Water Day, the group said its monitoring team’s visit to state-owned waterworks showed that most of them are not operational.

The group said the waterworks it visited include the ones at Maryland, Mushin, Ikorodu, Obalende, Agbowa, Onikan, Ikoyi, and Amuwo Odofin.

Only the one in Ikoyi is producing water, according to CAPPA.

A 45-year-old resident and father of three, Mr.Fatai Lamide told PUNCH HealthWise that no building in the community has toilet facilities.

The Oyo State-born mechanic said, “We don’t have toilet in this area, including our compound. This canal that you see serves as toilet to all of us living in this area. We defecate inside nylon and throw it inside the canal.

“For people that don’t want to use nylon, they have a special bucket that they use after which they pour it inside the canal too.
