All the resolutions the US tried to pass through the security Council about the Ukraine war was vetoed by RUSSIA. All permanent members of the UNSC, the US, FRANCE, UK, CHINA, RUSSIA. All have veto powers meaning they could easily block any resolution by the UNSC, which the Russians have done so far.

The UNGA "United nations general assembly" has pass a resolution condemning the Russia invasion of Ukraine, also they passed a resolution asking Russia to withdraw its forces against Ukraine.

The united nations security council "UNSC" the major decision body within the UN has failed to pass even a formal communique about the Ukraine war because Russia has voted all resolution brought forward by the US concerning the war in Ukraine.

Gaddafi wasn't a Saint, the US would have wanted to take him out, he provided Osama bin laden and its group safe haven in Libya, and also he was also fingered in the Lockerbie plane bombing and the main sponsor of the terror attack, so I believe the US took that opportunity to take him out
