Does IRCC needs six months bank statement of my sponsor/employer too? |
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by gr8nex: 5:51pm On Aug 20 |
Vvbaby: That was super fast. I applied since April and I still haven't gotten a response from IRCC. I have valid US, UK and Schengen visas. Did you submit other supporting documents? I only submitted a copy of my US visa, passport data page, travel history and NIN. |

Wow this is so painful. They should have given you a decision early enough but delaying someone for 11 months before denial is a no no. Just move on to something better. Babydaddymateri: 1 Like |

Bros that area hot now, your chances of approval is very slim because of history of Nigerians indiscriminately using the route to file for asylum. However if you have good travel history without breaking immigration rules plus good account balance and work/assets home ties you may stand a chance for conference. If you are also a speaker in the conference of your own professional field and your invitees are sponsoring you fully or partially it's also another advantage. Most of the people sharing visa approval are from family or friends or colleagues visits. Walexx6691: 3 Likes |

Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by affoncad: 8:42pm On Aug 20 |
Jeboy:You're absolutely correct. In 2024, if you don't have family or a strong travel history, Canada visa rejections are very high. I don't think it's a wise decision for people with no travel history or family in Canada to apply randomly. You'd be surprised to see that even the GCMS notes of visitor applicants are like copy-paste versions of the generic refusal slip, offering no vital information. This indicates that they don't really care about visitor applicants anymore and l will not blame them when we see visit visa as japa tool 5 Likes |

Eriokanmi: I applied since April and I haven’t gotten a response from IRCC. I have a valid US visa and thought it would make it faster. Is there anything I need to do now? |

Babydaddymateri: Hallelujah. .. 9:50am on this very day u insulted your father's mate on this very platform..few hours later u return to the same platform to announce all by yourself your irreversible failure. U see yr access to data & Internet has given u liberty to relegate yr father's equal.. absolutely responsible for yr lamentation 11months efforts was terminated in a split second. Going forward due to your ignorance don't be quick to type in response rather ask questions to be clear otherwise It will end in yr self destruction. Make no mistake to misinterpret English in your mother tongue that ended in confusions in yr mind without any form of provocation or insult whatsoever. Stop been a rude boy segun everyone on the Internet is not yr mate as u lack no manner at all. U cannot be allowed to enter Canada with excess luggage of cyber bullying hence visa denial U applying for Australia don't repeat this mistake little boy. I forgive u 1 Like |

Jeboy:Sure , I am traveling with my wife , we both have US and UK visas and i got an invitation letter from my sister who is a Canadian, We have both visited 12 countries together as a family and we have previously been issued 5 US visas. |

hayatou27: Apart from indicating US travel history for someone who has actually traveled to the US, how can someone who has a US visa but yet to travel include that in his application? I haven’t seen it as I’m filling the visitor visa form. |

Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Eriokanmi: 1:10am On Aug 21 |
gr8nex:Have you travelled to the US before, either with the same valid visa or an expired one? If no is the answer, your visa will most likely go through a normal processing time, though could be shorter than those without travel history. |

Good day all, my sister applied for the Canada visit visa and has a valid USA visa which qualifies her for the CAN+ visa processing, but she forgot to upload the family information form as an attachment. Please what do you advise ?? |
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Eriokanmi: 7:57am On Aug 21 |
gr8nex:Then, your decision is around the corner. At times, these people consider a lot of things when taking a decision but your travel history to America will influence their decision a great deal. With the usa visa and travel experience to same country, a lot of stages will be skipped on their assessment scale. Just hope for the best. Good luck |

Zihno: If you live in the US and have your green card, I don't think you need a Canadian visa. Or what's your status in the US? |
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by gr8nex: 9:58am On Aug 21 |
Eriokanmi: Thank you. I have been worried because I was denied a Canada visit visa last year with the same generic reason of financial assets . But I didn’t have a US visa then. I got the US visa this year. Do you think the previous visa denial would be a problem this time? |
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Zihno: 11:11am On Aug 21 |
oluayebenz: Student. Not GC. |
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Eriokanmi: 11:27am On Aug 21 |
gr8nex:Now you're talking. The Canadian visa denial was the main reason your visa application processing is being delayed. With this information you just provided, your app will go through the normal processing time oo. But expect a positive response. Usually, once you've travelled at least once to the US and you came back without abusing the visa status(i.e,you didn't overstay your visit receive medical care without fully settling your bills), your Canadian visa app shouldn't take the normal processing time to conclude, regardless if you've traveled to Canada in the past or not. You automatically qualify for Can+ treatment |

Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Zihno: 12:31pm On Aug 21 |
House34: Thank you. But there’s no place to upload all of these. I added my Graduate assistantship letter showing how much I’m getting paid and also my lease which is for 1 year. Where do I attach the other documents?

Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by House34: 12:47pm On Aug 21 |
Zihno: You can merge then upload documents under the 'Purpose of Travel' and 'Optional Document' sections. However, the system automatically merges the documents into one long file, which appears to the visa officer for faster processing and to save time. So, don't worry too much about it. |
