lol you stopped since 1999? What was the turning point for you?

The turning point was when I went to my Church in London, tendered my Tithe Account Number and asked to inspect my Tithe records in Jan 1999 and it quickly degenerated into the junior pastor on duty calling the Met Police and asking them to arrest me because I was disturbing them and the cops told him they could not arrest me because I had done nothing wrong.

To be fair, I phoned the cops first asking them to come and investigate fraud when the church refused to show me my Tithe records despite my showing them my Tithe account number - a procedure instituted by the GO of the church to prove that the church operated with financial probity but when push came to shove and a church member had the audacity to come and ask to be shown his tithe records as allowed by Daddy GO, the story changed and I was not shown my Tithe records.

My aim was to compare any Tithe records they showed me to the diligent records I kept for myself but they refused to show me the tithe records they professed to be keeping for every church member with an attendant supposedly unique Tithe account number issued to everyone.

When I phoned the police to come and investigate fraud in the church, they told me I should instead call the serious fraud office and it was after this that the junior pastor on duty called the cops who refused to arrest me and they told him I had done nothing wrong.

I then asked the police if I could stay in my car opposite the church entrance and wait for Daddy GO to arrive as I wanted to ask him a few questions but the police said no and I just drove to the nearest pub and ordered 2 pints of Guinness and broke my 5 year alcohol fast.

Since Jan 1999, I no dey go any church again as the veil dropped from my face and the scales fell from my eyes in Jan 1999.

This is the most gangster way of leaving a church, i did it quietly after telling few family members my reasons for stopping anything organised religious activity, they understood my reasons but still think i should keep attending church services.

Thanks to everyone, her passport was dispatched for delivery yesterday, although the status on NIS page still shows “pending NIN verification” but ultimately, revalidating NIN helped.

CheesyTee:
Hello everyone

I recently visited the London passport office with my children to renew our passports. While my passport and my son's passport were delivered within three days of our biometrics, my daughter's passport is still being processed.

The tracking system indicates that her NIN is pending verification. I obtained her NIN, along with my son's, from Nigeria, and I am perplexed as to why hers is the only one that is pending.

I have contacted my mother's back in Nigeria, and the NIMC contact informed me that my daughter's NIN requires revalidation.

My concern is that I have been unable to reach the Nigerian High Commission in London via email or phone. Given that they have not contacted me about the delay, I am uncertain whether her application will be processed once her NIN is revalidated or if I will need to travel to London again.

Anyone with similar experience, pleasenhow did you go about yours? Thank you

Hi all,

Can someone please share that bot for finding a close appointment date for Schengen visa? I have a company sponsored Expo for Nov 6 in Amsterdam and I was seeing on their site that visa application must be made at least 45days earlier.

Can anyone also share if there is a way my company could be of help to fast track the visa process? I am currently thinking of applying by myself.

Thank you

Just ask your company to book for Orange carpet for you. You will be able to attend the interview say tomorrow but it does not quarantee that your visa application decision would be expedited

Yes you can withdraw the application and start another before decision is made , there is a link on govt website that will take you through the process but that application fees and IHS will not be refunded immediately, it could take a month or two before they refund you.

Wetin dey do our thread..... we've not woken up from the post riot gba gos abi. Finally kudos to Kier Starmer- there's room for improvement but this is how uprisings should be handled. Also kudos to the many Brits all over the country who fiercely stood against far right racists.

All said, looking at the profile of many of the convicts, I just feel sad that such rifraffs were stocked up by politicians and given a pedestal to point fingers at productive members of the society. All reminds me of past religious riots soldiered by almajiris in Northern Nigeria. Imagine what drives the thought process of someone like this who after living his entire life on other peoples taxes turns around to blame others for his self-inflicted woes

Judge Robert Linford told Cann that during police interview he "spouted the dangerously inaccurate nonsense that was behind these incidents of disorder countrywide" pointing out that he told police during his interview that the protests were about "an immigrant that had killed girls".
Judge Linford then launched a stinging rebuke, saying: "So let's look at how the taxpayer have been funding your activities over the last 38 years - let's see what you've cost the country: you've got 10 aliases, four fictitious birth dates, you're 51 years of age, you've been convicted of 170 offences, you been convicted of theft, arson, taking cars, handling stolen goods, obtaining by deception, burglary, dangerous driving and possessing bladed articles. In all over the years that you've been visiting the criminal justice system you've received sentences totalling 357 months in prison, many of them concurrent.

"In other words, nearly 30 years. That Mr Cann is what you've been costing this country and you sit there in that interview and saw fit to be critical of others. You have no right whatever to say who should or should not be in this country."

Actually, I did not plan to leave the church at the point I decided to go check my tithe records and if they had shown me my tithe records as the GO had promised on the pulpit I wouldn't have left the church "at that time". What happened was that I just started a double barrelled stressful job a few months after completing my ACCA exams and I decided to take one day off work to fast and pray and in the process something just told me to enter my car, drive down to the church and ask to check my tithe records as allowed by the Pastors declaration to the whole church.

On getting to the church and telling them that I have come to check my tithe records as promised by the GO, the church worker started taking me to the accounts office and then the person suddenly had a change of mind, turned back and refused to take me to the accounts office and in that moment maybe because I had just been praying and fasting for one day, I started seeing vivid images of some church workers moving boxes of documents out of the church office to hide in the boot of a car parked withing the church compound as if they were trying to hide evidence or something.

Your visa application fees would not be refunded. Only your IHS fees would be refunded.

If you have money do another application. The most recent application would override your previous one. You'll get refunded in full for the previous application.
