From 1955 To Date, No Igbo Had Ever Held The Position Of CJN . WHAT ARE THEIR SINS? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kKnmnAFlhI From 1955 To Date, No Igbo Had Ever Held The Position Of CJN . WHAT ARE THEIR SINS? The Igbos have been underrepresented in the position of Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) despite their significant contributions to the country's legal profession. Here's a breakdown: Since 1955, no Igbo person has held the position of CJN. Out of the 17 Chief Justices of Nigeria, none have been of Igbo descent. The Igbos have been marginalized in the Nigerian justice system, with limited representation in the Supreme Court and other high-ranking judicial positions. This underrepresentation has led to calls for greater inclusivity and representation in the country's judicial system. Many argue that the lack of Igbo representation in the CJN position is a result of systemic bias and discrimination. Addressing this imbalance is essential for promoting equity and fairness in Nigeria's justice system. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Amibo1:OP I don't think, that only Igbo tribe that didn't hold the position of CJN. Alot of tribe in Nigeria didn't hold, my tribe inclusive but we didn't complain. Please know this, Igbo is one of the many tribe in Nigeria and no tribe has a superior status including the Igbo. And the Nigeria constitution didn't stated that all tribe most hold any specific position. Please leave this, Igbo this and Igbo that. 7 Likes |

Pasako:Nigeria have 6 zone igbos occupy a full zone Plus spill over into two other zones Comparing igbos to smaller ethnicity found in just one state is foolishness So you feel on one zone out of the 6 zone not producing CJN especially when that zone produce most lawywea is normal and not manipulated? Whatever people think, I have no doubt that there is a quiet scheme to keep certain people out of certain positions. Anyone that denies it is deceiving himself. And I think a lot of it goes back to incidents before, during and after that first coup in 1963, then the civil war and beyond. There was a time, during the Second Republic when it seemed Nigeria was pulling together and leaving destructive mistrust behind. Unfortunately, I think we have gone full circle and returned to an even more virulent state of total mistrust or distrust, whatever you want to call it. Social media has done so much harm to Nigeria, and continues to do so. Uncontrolled, impatient, and unreasonable expressions of hate by lone operators against a whole tribe over the act of a single person is causing mayhem and making mistrust on all sides worse. And there is no sign of that type of behaviour abating. 4 Likes |

mrvitalis:The current number of lawyers is irrelevant. Since CJN is based on seniority in the supreme court. The question you should ask yourself is how many Igbos have been skipped from becoming the CJN when they happen to be the most senior on the bench. That would help you see the true states of things. 14 Likes 2 Shares |
