Whatever people think, I have no doubt that there is a quiet scheme to keep certain people out of certain positions.

Anyone that denies it is deceiving himself.

And I think a lot of it goes back to incidents before, during and after that first coup in 1963, then the civil war and beyond.

There was a time, during the Second Republic when it seemed Nigeria was pulling together and leaving destructive mistrust behind.

Unfortunately, I think we have gone full circle and returned to an even more virulent state of total mistrust or distrust, whatever you want to call it.

Social media has done so much harm to Nigeria, and continues to do so. Uncontrolled, impatient, and unreasonable expressions of hate by lone operators against a whole tribe over the act of a single person is causing mayhem and making mistrust on all sides worse.
