If you don't like Oando positive comments, you can jump and pass. Investment decisions are not only based on past events aka FA but also on current trends that can lead to a turn around of a business.

When DS announced merger, the same people casting Oando were praising the merger without any FA to back it, but because you missed Oando when it was at 6 naira when the news broke out Sept last year.

I bought at 6 naira and sold at 12. Only to jump back again at average of 18 naira. I am not selling till 100 naira.

Your second paragraph is not true. The same man shouting Oando don cast now was the same man that first raised alarm here about something not being right with the rice business which was supposed to form the third part to Dangote food. Before those for and against started deliberately same way Oando faithfuls and antagonists are doing now.

That calculation is wrong. But tank you all the same.

Thank you for pointing that out. I remember PA Emma mentioned some reasons for caution back then.

My quote was intended to highlight a job well done and the kind of informative/motivating post we sometimes miss these days on the forum. I personally never checked nor planned to invest in Ellah Lakes.

I'm still awaiting your response to my proposal. I've learned everything I know about investing from Nairaland. My enthusiasm and passion for investing drive me to continue. I discovered the two brokerage firms I use through your posts, including T212 on the US Market Picks Alert thread.
I'm a stationery contractor, supplier, wholesaler, and retailer, I believe we can inject some humor to balance out the intensity of NGX. On a serious note, I would never try to take YMcy56 away from Oga Agba or consider divorcing my wife. My focus is on securing my children's future and education, ensuring they don't face the same challenges I did before God answered my πŸ“žand prayers.
Lastly, I recommend NYSE for YMcy56, given the Naira's history of devaluation and uncertain future.

Good to see your take on Ellah/Elijah Lakes grin This are the things we want to see on this forum, not the posts of the sadist/juvenile above. It is always the sweetest to get into a stock before the stock's upward journey begins. But then, it is worthy to note that Elijah lakes activities are always characterized with "WILL", yet no practical activity to suggest reality on ground. That is why someone classified them as AUDIO FARMERS. The most recent discussion we had on Elijah lakes on this forum was to the effect that someone promised to visit their farms physically to assess their work and feed us back, which we are still waiting for. We are missing some people like Sir wanajo, he would have given us the inside and off the street analysis on Elijah lakes.

Which one is Elijah again? What's the stock code make I check am out? cheesy

As far as I'm concerned, while having palm trees growing on their farms will be a good thing, supply of feedstock for their CPO mill is more critical. It doesn't have to come from their own farms FOR A START. Palm trees take time to mature. Ellah needs to hit the ground running. You can't install a CPO mill and live it to rust away for 2yrs while waiting for your trees to mature.

Okomu and Presco even with their farms spanning hectares of land still integrate supply of Fresh Fruit Bunches from local or commercial farmers. Ellah needs to start their own input/supply scheme.
So the deal for me is for them to have completed the installation of the CPO mill and locked in supply of FFBs. As at last report, this should be completed by now. Fingers crossed. tongue

Crownprince2017 made a good point about the other crops with much shorter maturity and cycles. Yes, I hope they made a start on those ones already and it's not audio still. You know it will be poor financial and strategic planning to spend millions to procure a CPO mill now then wait 2yrs for your crops to mature before you could put it to use. You could as well push those funds to cash crops with shorter maturity and cash out until your palm trees reach optimal yield stage.

My strategy remains the same, root for the underdog, watch them actualise their dreams and when the market comes calling, collect good dowry.

I like the unfolding story here. Business not difficult to understand either.

Disclaimer - It's obvious a lot is yet to be confirmed and this is just my personal opinion so please don't rely on my posts/sentiments to make your buy or sell decisions.

A motivation for new members.
The Nigerian market is full of ups and downs.
1. Don't time the market like Oga Agba; you'll miss out on the best days in the market.
2. Wealth is transferred from impatient to patient investors - be patient.
3. Stay current in the market like NSEMPA members.
4. Information is key to value investing.
5. Investing is simple; you don't need to master complex charts - you're not a trader. Trading is difficult in NGX due to relatively low liquidity.
6. Set SMART goals; they're achievable.
7. Ask questions; many are willing to help.
8. Be consistent; avoid FOMO syndrome.
9. Seize the day after due diligence; don't wait for others' approval.
10. Ignore discouraging comments from friends and family.
11. Equity investment proceeds can purchase your dream real estate.
12. Don't invest emergency funds in equity; the risks outweigh the benefits.
13. Don't regret selling underrated stocks; it happens to all investors.
14. Knowing when to sell can be challenging due to emotional attachment.
15. Prepare for red days, which come as market corrections (<10% downward in market value), bearish potential (<20% downward), or the black market day (massive sell-off due to bad news or government policies). Portfolio diversification is the πŸ”‘ keyword, NCA 17. NCA, Naira Cost Average in quality stocks can be rewarding. It keeps your portfolio greenish, otherwise you remain in red zone.
16. Choose your broker wisely. Brokerage fees at the point of purchase can significantly erode your gains. For example:
- 0.4% commission on N1M is N4,000 (Citi Trader)
- 0.5% commission on N1M is N5,000 (Morgan)
- 1.35% commission on N1M is N13,500 (others)
*****Excludes VAT, SEC, and CSCS alert fees***

Good morning boss.
Once a clear double bottom pattern emerges on the technical charts, Some investors often wonder whether to buy, sell, or hold. My suggestion is to capitalize on the opportunity by seizing the day, preceded by rigorous research and due diligence.

My Take on UCAP Plc: A Panache for Wealth Creation without being lucky.
My investment affairs with UCAP Plc began in 2016, courtesy of a recommendation by Moniker Feelamong, an investment guru. I had sought his advice via email, inquiring about promising stocks to invest in. Unfortunately, he is no longer active in the forum. His recommendations included UCAP and Usitech, a UAE-based bitcoin mining and trading company, which unfortunately turned out to be a Ponzi scheme costing me $1,500. Never his fault, Usitech scammed millions of people globally.
At the time, UCAP shares traded between N2.25 and N3. I purchased 3,000 units, gradually increasing my holdings to over 600,000 units. When the company announced dividend and bonus payments, I acquired more shares at N32-N34, bringing my average cost price to N12.
Reflecting on UCAP's performance, I've observed:
1. Consistent and sustainable dividend payments.
2. Quick recovery from market volatility.
3. Surprising investors with capital appreciation, dividend yield, and now bonus.
The recent EGM outcome indicates that bonus shares will be issued proportionally to existing shares. This is the most exciting news from NGX in a decade! I commend the Chairman of UCAP, who transformed companies like Transcorp, Transhotel, Transpower, Afripudential, and UBA into profitable and sustainable entities through organic growth.
Kudos to UCAP's visionary and selfless management team! My patience has been rewarded, with my 600,000+ units now valued at 1.8M units overnight.
UCAP is ideal for long-term investors. My new goal is to acquire more units and build my holdings to 5M units by 2026 through strategic purchases, not giving YMcy56 again, since I'm no longer divorcing my wife. πŸ˜† 🀣 πŸ˜‚

I believed future is predicted based on past, is there any listed companies that have done farming on paper and run away with investors money? Am just curious, may be am missing somethings.
Those pushing big big money into the company are fools that did not see reasons to put their money beyond wills.. grin grin
