In such a scenario, expecting full military support from the U.S. would be overly optimistic.
European nations, too, are already overstretched in their efforts to fund and support Ukraine's war effort. Many of these countries do not fully support Israel, making it doubtful they could be counted on for robust assistance in the event of a full-blown conflict with Iran and its proxies. Europe’s ability to offer military aid, already strained by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, is likely to be limited at best. Some countries in Europe may even be reluctant to get involved in Israel's fight at all.
India, China, and Russia are seizing this moment of international tension as an opportunity to strengthen their geopolitical ties. Russia, in particular, is using the Israel-Gaza conflict as a cover to frame itself as a peace-seeker, pushing back against what it perceives as NATO and American oppression. With these shifting global alliances and priorities, Israel finds itself in a precarious position, with few assured allies who can offer meaningful support in a direct confrontation with Iran and its proxies.
