Let's hope they will allow Oando to close above 50 tomorrow despite likely profit taking at that psychological target price. 1 Like |

Raider76: It is only a matter of hours. I see Oando closing above N50 tomorrow. Please, don't ask me for TA and FA. But, sentiment favours this stock. If not that am cash strapped, I wanted to increase my holding |

Banks Interim dividend When would CBN allow interim paying banks to release their results. I believe this would be a booster for banking recapitalization. But, the delay is too much now. The market needs news to spur it to greater height. |

H. E. Alhaji AA is actually challenging the takeover of NNPC Retail by OVH Marketing. There will always be bad press until things stabilize financially with OandO. That's why every news about OandO is a 'bull news' OandO-NAOC deal looks fair (bar the funding)... designking: |

BullBearMkt: In my opinion, people buying NB are basing their hopes on a company they once knew, not the current reality on the ground. NB will sell for 15 naira or below when things become clearer (negative equity already). It's a very risky stock; I would stay clear of that one. 4 Likes |

KarlTom: This controversy can never go away. Do you know that the "O" in OVH stands for Oando, and that there is a statement on OVH's logo which says "an Oando licensee"? If Oando has divested completely from OVH why has the name not changed? I believe for the next 3 to 7 years Oando and the Tinubu government will be like Siamese twins fused at the head. Whatever happens to Oando will be seen as a favor from the government. 1 Like |

jonnysessy: They better start releasing results (with good dividend payment action) in this last week of August. They also need to start bringing interest rates on government bonds down to support businesses currently struggling from high finance cost. So that the economy (& stock market) can witness a boost from September and for the rest of the year. |

Mankind2024: One-off forex gains in 2023 is responsible for that profitability. I am assuming most of the Oando hype here is by traders. Investors should note that and not be left holding monkeys on the long run. Trade, if you want but look well if you're talking investment. 2 Likes |

chillykelly86: But people putting in billions every week for some weeks now, are not ordinary traders or small persons. Or are you not seeing the amount exchanging hands every day and week? |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by MARKETJJC: 5:53am On Aug 26 |
Streetinvestor2: For now and even after Tinubu presidency, Oando/Tinubu owns Lagos and Nigeria is actually nothing without Lagos. This explains why no serious and heavy economic power house in Nigeria boldly opposed Tinubu because Business is Lagos and Lagos is business. So as long as there is Tinubu's Lagos, he will always have a say and or have Lagos to bargain with |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by chillykelly86(m): 6:04am On Aug 26 |
MARKETJJC: My caution for "investors" remains. Putting in billions or trillions doesn't mean they can't go wrong. If you take out over 200b forex gains from that result, Oando still returned a loss of about 130 billion or more. And that forex gain is ONE-OFF. If anyone wants to INVEST, they should be sure they have done their due diligence. SIMPLE. 4 Likes |

Mankind2024: You have the responsibility of educating your siblings about saving, investment and personal finance. When my mother was alive I was the person managing her portfolio. I found out she was getting good pension from where she retired and also getting her own share from the rental income generated from her late mother's property. I advised her to use these incomes to buy shares and Treasury Bills. Over period of ten years due to good risk management and portfolio rebalancing, the portfolio built another property for her thereby expanding her income streams 14 Likes |

Some people are hellbent on making O and O a gambling stock. They would buy on Thursday, sell on Friday and then shout " e don cast on Monday". O and O to acquire Eni is a great feat in that industry, no other company has achieved such feat. Nestle was once the best stock you can own in our stock market, but the story has changed today. Nothing dey guaranteed in this our market cos some companies even cook their results to impress it's shell holders. Tell me what is driving Total energy up and I will tell you what is driving O and O up too. We have sharks here, so be wise 1 Like |

thebargainhunte: Total has been growing it's balance sheet and income for the past 4 years. They have been posting profits and have also been paying full and interim dividend consistently during this period. Their most recent result was a huge improvement from their previous result. it was not a promise but what it's seen on ground and shareholders seeing and getting the direct benefits. the fundamentals are clear without deceptions 11 Likes |
