Niger .... the one we wanted to attack if they don't return to being a democracy like us ... the one that many loud mouths were shouting coups can never be good ... the same Niger that chased out the Americans and French that colonial puppets were swearing it was a suicide move ... the same broke defiant Niger that was sooo dependent on the Giant of Africa for electricity... for business ... for everything... Niger GDP has been on steroids since the coup and is currently over 12% and increasing ... the fastest growing economy in Africa... while the Sleeping Giant has now gone into a coma. We need a coup period ... to get rid of the present crop of politicians... regardless of party... they are all like weeds...none can bring forth good fruit . |

Believeintruth: You well so? What crap are you yapping? So, we should take your assumption to be a fact. You think Iweala is like you who will always defend and support a particular political party. From the intelligent piece that woman penned down, the only vain thing in your head was to paint a particular political party bad. Iweala was part of Jonathan Administration but she was never shy to state that Jonathan lacked the political will to save for the rainy day. Both PDP and APC were culpable. You could not excuse any of the political party. She was saying that there should be social economic contract between the govt and the people IRRESPECTIVE of political parties, which they must always implement and continue to implement. I can bet you, just like an average Nigeria, you never read the article or your comprehension skill was flawed. Iweala mentioned 2014 for a reason, do not put a spin on what she said through your fickle assumption. |

This has been a known fact. Nigeria's GDP has been stagnant since 2014. Those that graduated within the period 2000 to 2010 had choices on which aptitude tests to attend. Banks, IOCs, Consulting and Multinationals were always advertising for Management Trainee positions and others. Nairaland job site was always filled up with outcome of tests and upcoming interviews. Sadly, that is not the case again! Every where is closed - you hardly see open recruitment as companies are going through tough times. I have four recent graduates, two are in my house, all looking for job. The same story are being told by other graduates. There is no economic growth without full employment. Though, it is difficult to have full employment in any economy but the current Nigeria's situation calls for concern. Unemployment has serious negative consequence - both on the unemployed and on the general economy. 2 Likes |

I am serious. We are speaking facts and figures, how a world economics and the global gdp have analysed the situation that is clear to the sane mind, and u speaking gibberish. MT:Between 2000 and 2014, Nigeria's economy experienced broad-based and sustained growth of over 7% annually on average, benefitting from favorable global conditions, and macroeconomic and first-stage structural reforms. They started sabotaging his regime in 2014 to make him look bad for reelection. Now, the rest they say is history |

VeeVeeMyLuv: I don't understand why you guys are like this. Jonathan administration ended on the 29th May 2015. Where was the president when they were sabotaging his regime like you claimed or you meant to say the looting started in full force during this period. Have you forgotten how they looted the treasury while Baba was not bothered? Some head of states, Nigeria Presidents (including Jonathan) suppose to be in Jail for how reckless the treasury was looted under their administration. |
